My first vintage razors, picked up today at a local antique store. Both Gillette, found out that the small one is the travel razor (has an L 2 code on it) and I think the other is a flare tip. Both look to be in good condition and I'll read up on how to clean them up and will definitely take them for a spin. The butterfly one has a great feel to it and I really like the handle. I can't see any date codes. Any info appreciated.

SOTD, Wednesday Feb 19th 2020, maybe it is good idea to have Gillette flare tip February because some of these great older razors will get used a little more. Razor : Gillette standard Super speed flare tip - MFG 1956 B2 Blade : Voskhod (1) Soap: Proraso red Sandal wood Brush: Razorock Noir 400 Pre-shave : Shower, brush wash the face with hand bar soap + a dollop of aloe Ver gel on beard area. prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3. Post shave: Proraso red Sandal wood with witch Hazel + Nivea Men balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation+no weepers = Have some great shaves.
Thanks Gary. I'll look for the codes after I clean it up. Looking forward to taking this one for a drive.
