I'm guessing you never worked on a Ford Pinto, Gary. They all fell apart or caught fire so fast there was nothing left to fix. :)

When I was in High School, my friend's uncle drove a green Pinto like this one. It had white interior and a white vinyl top. He decided to paint the cowling flat black. I named the car Raccoon because of the look. Compared to his nephew's Vega, it was a pretty nice ride. My friend's Dad had an old Chevy station wagon, and he painted it garden hose green with a paint brush. It actually looked pretty good aside from the color choice.

My buddy with the Vega had a 1965 Ford Fairlane for awhile. It had a 289. He had it painted white and got some nice looking wheels for it. We had more fun than we should have with that car. :)

My wonderful first vehicle was a 1975 Datsun pickup truck. The floor board had rusted through, so another friend used a door panel off an Orange Nova to patch it up. He also painted it for me. I paid him, but he offered to add the flames for free. I decided to skip the flames, and I still regret that decision. Funny stories and good times. :)

I don't know about Pintos and V-8's, Gary. It seems like parts would start flying off during hard accelerations. :happy097:

My Bride was driving a 1982 Ford Escort when I met her. It was a school bus yellow 4-speed hatchback with black vinyl interior and no a/c. Somebody had replaced the radio with an aftermarket AM/FM/8-track. Someone broke into her car one night to steal whatever they could get out of the car that had any value. All they took were the knobs off the stereo, and they left the passenger door open. I guess they left in disgust. They should have known that crime doesn't pay. We still laugh about it.

As much as I joke about Fords, we kept this car for a few years after we got married, and we drove it almost 200,000 miles. I used it like a truck and hauled everything from bales of straw to dead critters in the back. Yeah, yeah, I'm from Kentucky. It was tough as nails.

those early escorts were tough cars..most cars and trucks i owned until 2001 or so were from the 6os/early 70s..and were always v-8s,mostly big ones..:)

My bad--it's just that 'cover-your-but' is a knee-jerk reaction. I should have faith in the Cartel attorneys ;)

Third shave with the Super and I can't wait to tell you it was perfect and bloodless!! Oh, wait. Ok, so the finish was pretty darn nice. I'd call it BBS. But it wasn't bloodless. Yet again, I managed to score a small cut. This time next to my right ear on the XTG pass. I felt the blade grab something. No idea what really happened but since it hit an obstacle, or seemed so, maybe this one wasn't really my fault. Whatever the reason it didn't bleed much. Just enough to mock me and my Czarness with technique. Out, damned cut, Out!

I certainly can't blame the lather for the issue. The JR54 with the Maggard synthetic knot turned the ring of death into a tub full of lather. I didn't as much face lather as just paint it on. Massive amounts of lather, super slick and cushy, and the ring of death still mockes me, even after that. Out, damned ring, OUT!

Hope you had a great Tuesday. Mine was buy and I'm tired. Tomorrow a new experience. Dance lessons. Yes, you read that right. We're going to a 1920's ball on Friday so we're having an hour of lessons to try and fit in a bit better. Something I've never done before. I might have to turn in my man card on a suspension but that's ok. She's happy. Have a great Wednesday!!

Love that brush handle! Sounds like a great shave--regardless of red.

As to the dancing: real men do whatever the heck they want, and if dancing is what they want... well, let lesser men sneer ;)

Sorry about the cut, but you got a good shave, Neal! The Jayaruh brush looks awesome. I should be getting my new JR brush in a few days and will use it ASAP. Have a nice evening!
