February Focus

"A rose by any other name..."
Seriously glorious shave this morning.
The KK really came through.
Superior slickness; comfortable cushion; ethereal aroma; positively phenomenal post-shave.
The total package.

The Swedish steel got a proper stropping and ridded my 48 hour growth as if it were nothing.
Tiniest bit of irritation on the left side of my neck, from yesterday's shave.
Almost to the end of the sadly discontinued medicated Thayer's Witch Hazel.
I thought I found a few bottles in Indonesia! Nope, they had to refund my money, because of no stock.
I am going to try Dickinson's with Camphor, which is the extra ingredient in the Thayer's.
They "distill" their WH, which Thayer's claims to NOT do.
Report at a later date.
A few spritzes of The Hammam and I am literally smelling like a rose.​

 

What a nice shave I had this morning making a last minute(well, actually I knew last night I'd do it)change to my barbershop shave soap(Central Texas Soaps)but staying with the Clubman Original to keep the all-Clubman week going. I learned that I could go an additional pass(4)with one razor. I think 4 should be the limit for the Sensor Deuce DisposeABLE, though, therefore I stuck with the 2 passes(recall I'm thinking about doing 3 passes with a shave soap, and the same razor). No cuts/weepers. Just a clean, fresh face and neck. I didn't use the Clubman Talc Powder because I'm going to my barbershop later today to have them do what they do best, including slapping the back of my neck with their own Clubman. A Most Excellent shave this morning. .

The Submariner is my favorite all-time watch, especially the models no longer in production. Admittedly, it has been the subject of slick advertising, but I still think it has some rich history behind it. In that regard, it is much like the Omega Speedmaster. Everybody needs a Sub and a Speedy.
