Thank you, Jason! I wonder if it clogs more because I swish the razor in cold water? Cold water shaves all the way including the sink.

Thank you, Jim! It is too bad they do things like that. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes USPS gets things there early.

Thank you, Jason! I am on a travel swing right now as I am trying to visit all of our sites. It should slow down a bit after this. The good news is that I am home much more now, even if I travel a bit more.

    Rikki serviced mine...highly recommend. http://www.timecareinc.com/

You can Google him and find plenty of watch nut reviews.

Even if you decide to skip servicing, it's a good idea to have the seals checked periodically. Water in a mechanical watch movement does serious damage.

L cufflinks in sterling silver. These were a gift from my wife and I wore these for our wedding.

Your wife has good taste! Although the L's stand for your monogram, I have another interpretation for your wedding cufflinks. The L stands for love so you have 2 L's that stand for two loves who married each other.

While walking down a hallway, I read where somebody compared the Signature Shaving Company (SSC left) razor with a Razororock German 37 (RR G37 right).
At first glance and without two razors to compare them to, this is possible, good eye.
I took out my RR G37 and did a side by side.

    20200219_213344.jpg
Admittedly the heads are very much the same, but there are suttel differences.
It's hard to see in this picture but the RR top cap has more indentation than the SSC razor.
Also the RR safety bar has more pronounced teeth than the SSC.

I installed used feather blades in each, the opening on the SSC razor is greater, enough to notice by looking at them side by side.
No good picture of this because I couldn't get my cell to take one that you could see very well.

    20200219_212108.jpg

I noticed that the blade tolerances are better in the SSC razor, it doesn't move around as much as the RR G37.

All in all for the price, under $20, that includes shipping and tax.
Hard to beat, the shave is very good too.
So it's not the Razororock G37 sold by another name.
At least not compared to the two Razororock G37's I have anyway.

Soap - Stirling 2018 St. Louis Fair Debonaire LE
Brush - Stirling 2 Band Synthetic
    Post - Alum

What a day, what a day. Dance lessons complete. Yeah, I'm talented. Ok so now I can pull off a few moves Friday that won't make me look like a complete idiot. Or less of one anyway. Time to relax and shave and I moved to the 1959 Super Speed. I still consider the Flare Tip to be one of the best Gillette made and a real workhorse for the brand. It's a mild razor but does an excellent job of getting that shave done effectively and comfortably. After a few days of fighting technique and whatever else was going on I decided I deserved some just basic shaves. I chose the Rapira Platinum Lux blade because, like its other Moscow Russian brethren, it's a great blade that I don't show enough love to.

To line the runway I picked up the Fair Debonaire LE that I got back in 2018. It's a Vanilla/Tobacco scented soap that stays tan/brown even in lather form. Great scent and usual top of the line Stirling performance. It was a limited edition soap but.....you can still get it. It's now Haverford from Stirling and I highly recommend it. I went ahead and used the Stirling synthetic brush to make that great lather.

Three full passes and everything was fantastic. No blood......finally......and no irritation from the alum. Great BBS finish and I'm set for the night. Have a great Thursday!!
