Wow, started quoting stuff to respond to, and found myself just clicking everything! Chris is doing well today. Strangely, he's sore everywhere except where they hit him with the sound waves. I was greatly relieved that it went as smoothly as it did. Thanks everyone for all the good thoughts! On the avatar, I thought I'd actually do something other than pens for a change. Something that matched with my new tag seemed appropriate. It's also a fair representation of my IQ. :ashamed001 Oh, and isn't it amazing how much difference one little letter can make? :happy102
Good morning everyone! We certainly had some loud storms blast through the area last night. At least they held back until we were home from the county fair. Wife took two 1sts and a 2nd for her sewing entries. Yay! Now we get to go back on Sunday. We let Kirsten chose a friend to go with us to the fair on Sunday so we will have two 9 year old girls in tow as they go through the rides and all. Oh well, it beats me having to go on all the rides with her. Wife has an autism seminar of some type today so it will just be another day with the kiddo and me. Good word, it goes with our queen's real well! Now see... I thought the club was a club on one level but on another level was a primitive attempt at a fountain pen! Glad to hear your son is recovering well.
Morning all I fell asleep with a bunch of product in my hair so I look like I belong in a horror movie.. thank god my interview in an hour is only a phone interview.
Morning all. (well there's still 5 minutes of morning left for me). Quiet day so far. Justin, you're right - that club could be construed as a Neanderthal's oversize Mont Blanc. "To leave a lasting impression, sign with The Club!". Jen, have you found yourself in Picture Tag yet? I borrowed your grandfather's photo at a point which seemed appropriate. Bill made the connection. Hope you don't mind. Good luck with the phone interview (and the hair)!
I got melons! :happy108 Cantaloupes to be exact. Yay, garden! And thank goodness for pinwheels! Saved my garden from the groundhogs.
Can't wait, can't wait. There's about 5 or 6 cantaloupes now. All at different stages. Which is good cuz I might get sick of cantaloupe before this is over. Hard as that is to believe. My first garden, too. It's exciting. Should have some tomatoes ready in a day or two, finally. The green peppers are getting bigger every day. Can't wait. Wish the watermelon had done better. FYI; buttercup squash is a runner. Man, that plant just exploded! Tried to take over the cucumber plant. But between the groundhogs and me trying to deter the groundhogs, the cucumber plant is done for pretty much. The buttercup squash probably helped to save my garden, too, though. It took the most chewing on from the groundhogs, but it is resilient. Dropped it's fruit and kept sprouting more leaves and runners. Gave those little buggers something to chew on until I discovered the pinwheel thing.
:happy102 Sounds like you have had quite an experience! Glad it has been so much fun (if not occasionally frustrating) I am sure you could find some volunteers around here.
Gotta run for a while good people. Got to meet my mother at 3 and get her birthday gift from Menards. Talk at you all in a while!
