  7. Lovely, Joseph! Hemingway Accoutrements is such a great scent. I picked up the aftershave tonic and Relief Balsam so I could layer to try and get the scent to last as long as possible.

  9. Congrats on dialing in the Rex, Clint. You chose a beautiful setup for your Friday shave. How do you like the Mr. Taylor's cream?
  10. Lol.
Mine arrived again at 12:12 am and didn't get a departure scan. Hopefully mine is on the same truck as yours and not still sitting in Chicago.

  14. Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate the kind words. A friend of ours taught Kathy how to make the blankets last year, and she has been steadily working on them. In turn, she taught a friend of ours to make them, and now that person is teaching it as a craft to families in an area ministry. We've got a closet full of yarn ready to made into more blankets. I'm confident she'll teach a people at the transplant house where we'll be staying in Rochester how to make them as well.

Perry, every time I see a photo of Wilson, I think of your family's story. The main reason I joined Facebook was to stay in touch with families like yours that we have served in the PICU. I love seeing photos of the kids growing up and leading normal lives. One of the sweet Moms sends us a video of her son periodically. He just turned two years old and is doing wonderfully. At birth, he was not expected to live. God had other plans. :)

Jeff, what a wonderful way to serve with your sweet friend, Gromit! My Mom was in hospice two years ago, and I was touched by the two male volunteers that came to spend time with her. They read Scripture, and one of them sang to her. I will never forget their kindness. I can only imagine what you mean to the families you serve. Keep up the wonderful work, my friend.

I slept in just a bit this morning, and am getting a late post for this shave. This is the first RR soap I have used in a long time, and performance seems to be pretty decent. The scent is very interesting, with a lemon opening quickly followed by some rosemary that bleeds into a bit of a Sandalwood scent. It may just be due to the name, but it does seem to have a bit of a saline type of scent overall. It is pleasant enough.

The razor was very smooth. After two passes, I had a DFS+ with no irritation. I will use this one for a few days, and may repeat this exact set up again to really make up my mind on the soap. Overall it was a nice start to my day. I hope everyone has a great day!

  16. Thank you Tim. It’s been a long time since I had to spend this much time with a razor. I’m glad it was worth the effort.

  17. Happy Friday Tim. Too bad about the Variant and the rough shaves. Sounds like you might need a Variant Focus.
