I frown at some of the videos.....it appears to ME that the shaver has nothing left to shave off after the second pass, but he proceeds ahead and does the third anyway.

He almost made it to 105. Drove his car till 94 then said he was tired of driving. Loved his stories about the log drive and lumber camps .

I do that every year in January.
Trying to get a half good shave once.
So far it's no good, not even through the first pass.
Way to dull, pull and tug like I'm trying to wax the face.
    Till next year.

Another sunny day here in the ATL. To bad I have to go into the office for several hours today. Everything played well together. Three passes, with touch ups and buffing ended with the baby in the house. Overall a wonderful drama free shave. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Personally, I think 2 passes should be sufficient to get a very good, close comfortable shave regardless of the type of razor. I know that there are some members that do more passes to get the shave they desire and that's fine because it's their shave ritual. However, I consider it overkill if I do 3 or more passes.

I have been wanting to experiment with Pears soap for some time now. I picked a bar up at the local Dollar Tree and melted it into a container last night and gave it a shot this morning. I will have to admit that it was better than expected. Post shave feel is a little dry but the cushion and glide was not to bad. The glide could be a little better but it is not a bad soap. I will definitely use it again. It does get the job done and at 29 cents an ounce we can save a lot of money. Is that not what we got into wet shaving for? :happy102: The Rockwell with plate 6 and an Astra was a joy to use. Take care everyone!

I love my Cooper Monobuilt, paired with a new Feather blade.
    Hard to beat that razor.
    Great software combo too.
