I am sorry for causing confusion. Your explanations are fine. I just meant that I am trying to not automatically answer the questions when they are posted on here... You are doing fine. I was just being a little silly.

Work has been leaving me more and more tired and missing school so much. I need to back in a classroom and a dorm room, I've had enough mindlessness for the year.

I have the opposite feeling. I never want to go back to school. Bad food, no money, learning things I can learn by reading the text book. No thank you. Then again, I love my job.

I'll take ramen, loans up the ass and a nice course load any day

You're either a masochist or you hate your job. I'm gonna say you hate your job. Are you in the professional world or still in the internship doldrums?

lol it's not that I hate my job (although I do hate my job, it's a crappy summer job), I just love school. I love living in a dorm, having dinner every night with all my friends, spending all night in the library for an A. School provides for a lot of goals in a short period of time and it feels pretty good to work towards 5 test grades every month and come out with 5 As, not many jobs let you reach goals that quickly or often. I also get to be my own boss and choose how I'd like to go about my work, I can't get fired, I can't get laid off, I make my own hours and I can come and go as I please because UB has classes with 500 people in them.

Depends on the job. I'm a Software Developer so I get to reach a goal every time I run the application. Intensely satisfying. I love learning but hated school. I do miss pulling all nighters though :D I haven't had to pull one yet; although I have been at work until 3:00 AM.

GL with the summer job, we've all been there, you just suffer through. The main frustrating thing about my summer job was the fact that I was paid 1/4 of what I make now. At least I was paid ;)

Thanks, it's not even the money, I get paid about double what my friends working at target make... it's just soooo boring.

Yeah, that's the conundrum/catch 22 of college employment:

You can't get an interesting job unless you get experience.

    Hey gang.

It's been pretty craptacular in Distraction, TX lately.

First, I got a phone call on Friday morning about 5:30 AM... that's never good... Gramma died. She's been sick for the last 12 years with Alzheimer's. I hate hate hate that disease. Her passing was really a bittersweet thing. On the one hand, I'm filled with much sadness over losing her, but really, she's been gone for the past 12 years... I take comfort in hoping her suffering is over.

Prior to that, TWGW and I booked a cabin in a nearby town for 3 nights. Of course you have to make a deposit... Checking the weather... great... 50% or higher chance of thunderstorms the rest of the week.

    Goody.

Oh well, at least the cabin is supposed to have wi-fi, so maybe I can get ONS up to date.

If any of you have some spare nice weather, please send it my way... thanks.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, bud.
It's never pleasant losing someone you love, but sometimes it is a relief when they're able to find peace. :(

Best wishes to you and your family.

I think that is harder than when someone dies. Sorry, Jen.

Since she is still here I honestly can't say. She still knows who we are when she sees us and she is still a happy person. It gets tough to talk to her sometimes because she repeats herself a lot and she keeps forgetting my boyfriend who she's known for 4 years. Overall I'm very grateful she is still alive because she's very important to me but at the same time it is really hard to see her not herself, things could be so much worse though.
