Week 4 (Anything Goes) Feb. 23 Episode 23: “There Will Be Blood--part II” Razorock Classic TTO A nice, efficient shaver… tad bite-y if you take your eyes off the road, but not bad... Week 4, Day 2 Gear Blade: Voskhod (2)--A pretty decent blade. Performance-wise in the neighborhood of the Personnas I’ve been using… maybe even slightly better. Can’t argue with the price either. Brush: Kong Soap: Barrister’s Reserve Cool (love that scent) Enhancements: Stirling Frost Drops AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue. Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented. The Shave The shave was extremely pleasant today: two passes that knocked back some left-over growth from yesterday’s unfinished shave. A comfy WTG pass, followed by an equally comfy XTG pass. Followed by re-opening the weeper I got from Friday's shave--blasted thing still haunts me. Shave over, but I’m still slightly better than DFS. Definitely was not ashamed to go to church. The Score Comfort: 0 Closeness: 0 I’m going to have to be mindful of the small cut I got with the Variant if I want to log in any bloodless shaves this week. I have high hopes, though
Awesome shave Andrew! Thanks Jim! Thanks Tim! The weekend was a success. I escaped with my sanity too...or part of it !
Thanks, Joe! It was my own fault. I could have very easily settled for the DFS+. I just can’t help myself! I do love the smoooth!
Great shave, Tim! Voskhods are one of my favorite blades. It’s the one I use with the first shave of a new razor!
Thanks, Jeff! It's in the 50's on Long Island. Who would have thought that it would happen here in February!
So I guess I can feel not so bad on the ‘totally’ innocent role I may have played in your acquisition!
