Brew fine is OK for FB if all you want to do is post to walls and do updates. Brew can't handle flash or anything similar. So no youtube, etc... Because it is Verizon and Brew, you are stuck with the browser that comes with the phone. If you have the same browser as the ENV2, then you will be able to pull up posts on here (it is tedious because it only shows so many lines at a time and then you have to download the next set of lines). Keeping up on this thread is a nightmare. It is nearly impossible to post to the forums with this phone. On the other hand, it works fine on some mobile websites and is slow on some applications but can do them eventually. I works well enough with gmail but can not connect to my work e-mail account. I don't recall how well google maps come up (I don't have strong enough signal here to check). I think the next cell phone upgrade for me will have to be a true Java based phone.

:happy102 and there's also the various issues that pile up when they're flooded out.

Ya know, I liked it when phones were phones. I just don't get internet surfing on a phone. I guess I'm suffering from early onset old fogey-itis.

yeah, I'm basically that way, but....having my phone on my parents' plan, and my mom and sister (who is also on their plan) being the main ones to text, and having the feature on the phone anyway, leads me to occasional texting. The web browsing is something I'm considering, though I don't think I'd use it to it's fullest potential, so I likely won't do it, but who knows.

Justin, what phone do you have?

ENV2.. Got it to use to text messages to family and wife who all text. With the full keyboard it does that well. I figured that seeing it had the keyboard and internet capabilities I would give it a try. Works great with text... not the best on web sites. I like being able to check my e-mail (gmail, verizon) on the go. Vcast videos came with my package, but I don't have strong enough signal to use that except for times when I busy.

    amen, friend, amen.

    Here's my phone:

    Among its plethora of features:

    Make calls.
Flashlight (waaaaay more useful than I ever realized.)
    Make calls.
I think I've texted with it twice-- just for the novelty.
    Make calls.

    That's about it.

And it's rugged as Aitch Ee Double Hockey Sticks.

Did I mention you can make calls on it?

That's my kinda phone. I've considered buying one of those "phone only" setups that are sold to senior citizens. You know, the ones with big number and absolutely no other features? I told you I had early onset fogey-itis.

No doubt. I figure, when this phone finally dies, my next one will probably be a jitterbug.

thanks :) I need to work on explaining the absorption chillers in terms that make more sense and have a little less science. I've noticed that when I learn what these things are then translate them into my own words and explain them it helps me learn a lot better.

Tonight, I will be attempting and experiment in man-food.
Bill's "Chili-cheese dog enchiladas" to be exact...

We'll see if this doesn't sit on my belly like a lead weight :happy102
(it just sounded so darn good!!)

I am boycotting anything chili-cheese for a while... had a chili-cheese dog from DQ last night and some Sweet Chili Cheese Doritos. Then things didn't go so well this morning (OK... probably mild flu... but to be on the safe side...)

    Gah... sorry Justin.
I won't wave them anywhere near you.
(you know how, when you think something made you sick, you can't even bear to smell it)

So, it's almost done in the oven. Update in 20-30 minutes.

Thanks for the consideration. I know what you mean.. just thinking about them is bringing back some nausea. Which is really sad... I wanted to make those enchiladas! Maybe I can convince myself that I had some bad yogurt.

Ok, I wolfed (little chili humor there... Wolf Brand.. har har) two of them down.
The only thing they're missing, and I guess this is a matter of personal preference, is fresh diced onion.
A good chili cheese dog needs them and so do good chili enchiladas.

    of course it needs onions!

    Wow... dark in here tonight...
