Thanks, Tim! The very tiny weepers were cause by going against the grain on my moustache and chin by a dulling blade. With my light touch, I really don't get any serious cuts. It's easier to get weepers with an open blade that is unforgiving like a shavette. By the way, at the start of your shavette focus next month, I would suggest that you use a mild blade to start and don't use Feather blades.

Excellent advice, and not to worry--my shavette will probably not see a Feather any time soon ;)

    The Shave
Not a bad shave today. Thought I’d get crazy by going XTG for my 1st pass, and it went admirably well, but I stopped short at the goat zone and finished WTG--no sense in pushing a good thing, no?

2nd pass ATG went equally smoothly. Again, slowed it down at the goat-zone and went with an XTG pass. One last pass at the goat-zone only (ATG), and things were going pretty well, but I did worry away at the left side of my chin, and buffed more than I should have--small weeper. Still, a fantastic shave. Normally I’d score this a ‘4’ for comfort, and a ‘4’ for closeness

    • Comfort: 0
    • Closeness: 0

I am glad. Sometime this year, I will get Feather blades to try with my safety razors before I would use them in my shavettes.

Thank you Andrew. The Lupo is an efficient little razor. I think the JAWS might have stole my heart though.

Sorry guys, haven't been able to participate much the past few days. Busy week....

I shaved today with Stirling Piacenza soap, Schick M adjustable with vintage Private Club blade, artisan badger brush, and Piacenza finish. Really a nice scent. Great shave all around.

I'm checking in a little bit and keeping up cursorily.

I really do like the Dead Sea scent. The Mondial is breaking in nicely. Honestly, it has several black bristles that are not helping my obsessive personality at all. Would you believe, I have another Omega 49 project that is coming together. And yes, the black bristles are there as well. Just damn.

I don't have any of the new Jeeves soaps or splashes. I'm pretty sure my stuff is from 2018.
