  1. Great shave Jim even with the weeper. Fine soaps are great but like you said the containers are too small.

    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 4

With two days of scruff and tools in my hands,
I went right to work and not a face hair still stands.
    The German lather was slick,
The Russian blade on its game.
My Hillbilly mug now puts babies to shame!

    Have a great Wednesday, gentlemen!

  7. Thank you Jim.

Thank you Jeff. Sorry I can't help on the dome shave report

    Thank you Jeff.

Thank you Joseph. I would throw the cream out if it were not a gift from the wife. She gave me Jack Hemp Infused Smooth Stud shave cream. It has no scent but is super slick so I have been mixing it with the Captain's Choice cream.

Thank you. The Jaw's is mostly all looks. There is a little blade feel but that's about it.

  8. I made some comments on my shave in The Stoylin Exchange, as I used a Stoylin A.S. and soap, but I'll do my general shave commentary in here. Good loading with the Stoylin brush. I thought I had enough soap on the right side, but once again, I ended up with some whiskers remaining. I always get them off well on the left-perhaps I just take the right side too much for granted. Small weeper just west of my lips... no issue once again. On the neck, I always seem to leave a little astroturf on the right side just below the jawline. What is it with this right side thing. That oughta be my March Focus-Don't Take The Right Side Too Much For Granted. Overall shave grade-Pretty Excellent.
  9. Great shave and photo Jim. Congrats on finding the AOS Tallow. It would have been a shame to lose that one.

  11. Wonderful photo and shave prose Charlie. Happy Wednesday
  12. Wonderful shave and pic, Charlie! I think the Maestro has started a literary trend to use poetry in our posts. I am not creative enough to do it on a consistent basis.

  13. Nice shave, Paul! I think you need to change shave direction in the areas where there is still whiskers while using buffing strokes.
  14. Thanks Clint. I had was in a Carl Sandburg / Normal Rockwell mood this morning. Happy Wednesday, my friend.

  15. Well, I'll try SOMETHING on that right side. I wonder if me being a lefty explains this(in part, anyway).

  19. Thanks Joe. I'm just being goofy this morning. The shavette shave was great, and I agree that they're a little more satisfying if you let your beard grow out a bit - 36 hrs. for you and 48 hrs. for me. I had one small 'sit down' error on my jawline (inattention). I didn't draw any blood and I doubt if anyone will notice, but I know it's there.

    Have a fantastic day!
  20. Thank you Charlie. I have my annual appointment with the gastroenterologist this morning. Given all my stomach issues, I am always apprehensive about seeing him.
