No picture of the pradat brun frameback l'ecleqtique. First full shave with the razor smooth and close. I used barbon shaving cream and pitralon classic as.
I used this Henkotsu razor this morning. I don’t know much about it. This was a classic eBay gamble and it seems to have worked out quite well. Gorgeous razor that actually came with a nice edge. Once I realized there was no reason to even try shaving with just the one side, I’m actually getting good shaves! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A Pelican with a French ‘bill’, 6/8 King Pelican 27, a nice 1/4 hollow-ish blade. Soap was I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a Thäter boar, and a little of the matching IC Rhubarb balm followed up for a BDBS shave.
Todays Shave Dubl Duck Satinedge Barrister and Mann Hallows Dubl Duck No5 Brush Avon Bay Rum I cannot fault this setup the razor sings well and shaves like spreading butter, the soap is out of this world love the scent, and the Brush makes a wicked lather and I just love Vintage Bay Rum what more could a man want.
Le Grelot 14 square nose, soap was 5 year old MdC in brain bowl lathered with a Simpsons 57. A splash of the divine SMN lavanda finished up a perfect shave.
Koraat 8/8 this morning along with DG Massacre of the Innocents soap and splash. A very nice shave and a good start to the day. The scent is a clone of Herod’s from Parfumes de Marley and is fantastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What brush is that. From what I see I love the colors. Is that the original knot? Do you bowl lather with it or face lather? I have the one I got not to long ago and have not used it yet. I'm still debating if i want to keep the original knot or change it.
Thanks! I bought it second hand, but I’m told it’s a Rick Montalvo handle with a Oumo fan knot. I bought it because it was part of a package with a Filarmonica 12 that I wanted, but it turned out to be a very nice brush too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is the original knot and I'm very impressed with it, also I face lather the only time I use a bowl is when it is very cold and I want a warm lather.
Tonight's shave was with a Spanish Made razor. I had a very nice 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. This one takes on a scary sharp edge. Razor- Filarmonica 13 NovoDur Brush- JR#262. Silvertip knot Soap- AOS OUD Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice
No picture but a very good shave with a le grelot p hospital 71 6/8. Tabac shaving soap and AS. The razor was nice and noisy.
Clauss 7/8 Barbers Special. Cream was AoS Ocean Kelp lathered with a Keyhole 3, and the aquatic AdP Collezione Barbiere Revitalizing Face Cream served as the AS. ‘Serums’ are beginning to make their way int to the shaving arena as after shave products, but they and their cream counterparts are not new, they’ve been cosmetic staples forever. They tend to be more expensive, but they perform very well indeed. Acqua di Parma also make a revitalizing face serum (vs the cream) which is slightly less heavy and a little more pricey (a good bit more pricey depending on the version that you want), but either would be hard to beat as an after shave product.
Widerstrahl Solingen 6/8 with a great edge this morning. This was one of those shaves that just brings a smile to your face. Everything was effortless, the lather, the shave, even the clean up. A great start to the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
