it's supposed to get only to the mid 80's today,
Wed was 103, yesterday was about 100.

Finally got some decent sleep last night. I think all houses should come mandatory with AC regardless of location.

    Your place doesn't have A/C?

I was going to make a chicken salad like you suggested, but I forgot what goes in chicken salad. And don't say Chicken and salad. :rofl

No, the real reason was, I didn't think I would make it from the car to the store without passing out.

Only a small window unit that doesn't do much if anything but suck up power.

Oof. We should pitch in to get you a new A/C, Bong.

Or we can send Jen over with banana leaf to fan you.

Well all good people, I have to go do some errands, so take care and I'll type at you all later.

Bong, get a small 5000btu unit and put it in your bedroom window. You have to get sleep to function properly and you can't sleep when you're too hot. If you can't do that, maybe try one of the small portable room a/c units to help cool off your bedroom. Here is a page from Newegg that shows what I'm talking about if you have never seen one.

    Howdy, all!

Yep, lots of places in the Seattle/Tacoma area don't have a/c. Not a lot of need for it usually.

I was up there visiting a couple years ago. Got hit with a heat wave. No A/C, AND no windows that open. It was horrendous!

That would be horrible, and with the way the humidity flows in off of the Pacific, it probably makes it feel like Louisiana. :shocked031

sol92258 I have no earthly idea

Doug says Hi, he can't get on TSD from home right now for some strange reason. He can get pretty much anywhere else, just not TSD.

Spent 3 hours fiddling with his wireless router this afternoon (then I hooked it up to the modem and tried to setup his network....Ba-Dum Bump!)
Darn thing is a head scratcher - getting correct IP address, can ping websites by their URL name, but cannot load websites.
Tried every possible combo I could think of, but no go. Going to try a different brand router, maybe tomorrow, have read where others had trouble with that particular model Linksys connecting with WildBlue, but there were others that seem to have connected fine - maybe it's his particular modem and that particular router.
Trust me, any suggestions you may have I've probably tried, but am open to fielding suggestions.
He called me after calling Linksys, WildBlue, Linksys, Linksys, and Micah...everything looks as if it should be working, it even says successful connection to the internet (remember, I can successfully ping www.google.com, www.yahoo.com) - it just won't load the page - any browser - even tried using OpenDNS, no go...
    real headscratcher...

One of the nicest things about the PNW is that we have weather that we can complain about almost every day of the year! :)

Seriously though, those poor wetlanders have been getting nailed this week. Over here on the dry side it's about as hot, but the humidity is a whopping 15%. Not too bad at all; still, thank goodness for air conditioning.

Sorry to hit and run, but I've got to go shop a little. I'm hoping that I'll find some Thayer's in the little co-op store I'm visiting (an maybe some grapeseed oil for my OCM mix).

I'm wondering if somehow his TSD problems and router problems aren't somehow related. It just occured to me, he might want to try emptying his cache to see if that fixes TSD.

I think you're right. Everyone with good sense is snoozing. ;)

A 14 hour shoot sounds exhausting. Hope it's a grand day there in the Shire or Bree or wherever you are!
