It's a great shave, Tim! It is always best to stop at a good comfortable shave with a razor that likes to bite. Eventually, it does get tamed with familiarity of its quirks.

My Bill Neumann thinking has now focused on the aftershaves, not soaps, based on one of my "Files" for today. The real challenge will be to spread it out over time, thus making it a better economic choice, but I think I can do it. Bill's aftershaves are $30 for 4 oz. I can "match" it with an unscented soap(like "Sheep" from Stoylin for instance), and that would bring out the special Neumann scent more.Won't be doing this purchase right away-but I might get another sample set(all of his scents for $12-at 1/8 oz.) I've already decided on the aftershave I want, but it would be good to have the others as samples, too. I ordered them once before..it was pretty good. But that's the bottom line of my thinking...to go the unscented route, a soap beats out an aftershave-IMO.

Thanks, Bill. I will not headshave with it until I am comfortable to use this razor. The angle is different and I don't use a mirror to shave the posterior part so it makes it more difficult to do so.

Thanks for your insightful knowledge, Jason! I consider all my non-straight razors beautiful alternatives. I use them when I am in safety mode.

Hi guys! I am so excited about a new custom Jayaruh brush being delivered next week. It is the JR #386. It is made out of Brazilian Rosewood with a Cross on the bottom, a decorative Celtic Cross on the handle and a nice Silvertip badger knot.
It is the same design as the JR 384. I saw it on this thread courtesy of Charlie @wristwatchb and thought that was a neat looking brush that illustrates my faith. Now, I am not Irish, but I have half Italian/half Irish nephews and maybe I can pass tbis brush to one of them when I am not on the planet. Here is the brush:

I wholeheartedly agree, and will be adopting that attitude over the next couple months with the shavette--the only baby I'll be chasing is my own two year old (and heaven help him when I catch him ;))

Clint, you mentioned that the T3 was higher lofted than your CH2. My two T2s arrived today. The T2, with a 24mm knot, isn’t nearly as high-lofted as the T3. Here it is beside the CH2, but it hasn’t had a lather to bloom out at all. I’ll be bashing it out, anyway.

I can increase the loft by resetting it shallower in its new home, obviously.
