Thank you, Gentlemen. As part of a den reduction, I have listed a few of my finished brushes on the The Marketplace for the cost of materials and shipping.

2/28 Shave #7 was relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable, though not without a touch of trouble. Skipping a day was wise. Skin nearly fully recovered from the prior disaster, and with confidence reborn; this shave felt like the most efficient yet. Focus was angle of attack and skin stretching.

Razor prep: 4 slow laps on cBN loaded linen and then stropped very lightly, 10 laps IIRC. Edge felt lovely against the melted marshmallow cloud lather given by the Stirling.

So far I have done very little XTG work with the SR and when I went for the XTG 2nd pass, I scored 2 nicks on my right cheek. Both long nicks, high on the cheek. I abandoned the XTG (left side was ok but still awkward) and finished 2nd pass WTG (below the jaw and down the center). ATG pass was my best yet and left me about 95% DFS+ after the finishing 1/2 pass and touch ups.

    Takeaway
I’m not going to worry about XTG for a while. I decided the 2nd WTG adds reps and experience while XTG adds awkwardness and complication for me now. Strange as it may seem, ATG is my comfort zone in terms of confidence and feel.

Next shave will be vs ~40hrs growth and I already have a vision of success. Tonight’s focus/strategy is all about good setup for the ATG. I’m going to focus on skin stretching and AoA again through 2 light and smooth WTG passes, while laying a good foundation for a slick & sweet ATG to finish.

Sounds like a good plan moving forward. I'm anxious to hear how the next shave goes.

Art of Shaving Sandalwood~~Simpson 2 "Chubby" Synthetic~~Barbasol Floating Head~~Gillette Silver Blue
After a complete and thorough investigation; with the assistance of the highly-respected
intelligentsia at TSD and beyond, I can say---with absolute confidence, that I shaved this morning with a
    genuine Barbasol Floating-Head razor.
The scent of the AoS sandalwood still caresses my olfactory senses.
I can also safely say that four shaves with a Gillette Silver Blue is one too many...perhaps two.
Tomorrow, I will begin my Russian blade focus.
I have to say that shaving with this BFH will mos def© increase the size of my biceps.
Full disclosure, this razor has been professionally re-plated. I have the re-plating story from the seller.
Apparently he was a temperamental artist. LOL, as if artists are temperamental!
Good shave...but not great. Worn out Russian blade. :angry019:
    See you all in March.

Wonderful shave and report Joseph. AOS Sandalwood just smells fantastic. My favorite Sandalwood scent by far.

I like the straight razor. You have only used a straight seven times and you got a decent shave despite the 2 cuts. Bravo! I suggest to continue to shave with the grain and against the grain for awhile. Just to let you know, you don't have to do 3 passes to get a BBS or a near BBS shave. With a sharp razor, I go with the grain and then against the grain. Sometimes I will do a half pass after the 2nd pass and that is going against and across the grain. I don't know how you beard grows, but if you don't have to do XTG, at least for now don't. Have a nice day, Andrew!
