i have pretty much used my self made soap exclusively for about 6 months. i almost threw out dried chips of Cella soap from the big block, that was in bottom of mug. I figured one last lather before the trash. i was super amazed how it performed. Exponentially better than the fresh soap !!!! I've already put some arko out to age as test, and am now looking for more fresh Cella from da brick. After posting I did more research. There is science to aging soaps, soap makers say aging does improve most soaps. Partly has to with evaporation and concentration , crystal formation......
I still use Yardley bath soaps. They are some of the best. But, its been a long long time since they produced shave soaps. It is only used on special occasions. ..
