It was a little strange. Not the worst thing in the world. Definitely not the best thing either, though.

I haven't had it in decades, but I do like it cubed, cooked really well (with black pepper) and scrambled with eggs. Yumm!

 

Bet it tasted better than cream of asparakeet.

I used to take Spam (or other lunch meat - some of the other brands actually taste better than Spam), toss it in a food processor with mustard, a little mayo, hot pepper, and piccallili sauce, and make a tuna-salad like concoction with it. Great, great stuff.

 

I thought I smelled a bacon thread.

Agreed.. Cubed and added to make and cheese or cut lengthwise into 4 slices per can and grilled, put on a bun with mayo and tomato.
