Fantastic photo and shave lineup Jim. You will get it sorted out shortly. I use riding the cap as a starting point and drop the handle to the point that I maximize efficiency without sacrificing comfort.

In trying to match things up like Jim, @jluc , I went with the Old Spice Cream and the DK7 brush. The pairing worked well together whipping up a mountain of lather. Three passes and touch ups just let the little guy escape. One spot on my lower right neck foiled my attempt at a BBS shave. A splash of Dominica Grand Bay Rum AS and I am off to my office to work on taxes today. Oh the excitement...I can hardly contain myself. :D I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

    Thanks, Clint!
I'm usually pretty good at finding a razors sweet spot. I kinda pride myself on getting the same results from every razor I own. The Dart though is steeper than anything else I have. Just took me awhile to find the angle again.

    Razor: Tom White Alumi-TAR
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: PdP
    Aftershave: PAA Captain Smythe's Reserve
    Additional Care:
    Unrefined Shea Butter

I had a special treat for my shave today: I received a package in the mail yesterday with the two newest creations by @twhite. The brass version is very much a beast, and both are beautiful. The adjustment mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. For today's shave, I chose the aluminum version and set it to 2. Compared to the brass it is a lightweight, but when you use it, the weight feels just about right. There is a slight blade feel at this setting, enough to let you know the razor is doing its thing. The proper angle is intuitive and easy to find. After my first pass, I had a noticeable reduction with no discomfort. Very smooth. A little re-application of lather, and I set up for my second pass. This too was also very smooth, as my typical routine is more or less a XTG pass on number two. After a quick rinse, I could tell I had a nice DFS plus, and I left it there. One shave in, and I am very impressed with this razor. I will likely follow up with the same razor tomorrow, but I will dial it up a bit.

Tom, I must again applaud this razor. Terrific job!

Thank you, Jim! I wish this razor was mine, but I will have to send this and the brass version both on the next person in the pass around after this week.

    2020 Shavette Focus Shave # 6

Nice, easy, and super close over most areas in two passes and a few touch ups on my upper lip. Used the trusty Tech only for squaring up the sideburns. Game On everywhere else with the SRX. I removed a small bit of unneeded skin on the corner of my mouth (pressure, angle...Charlie) and some stubble remains on one side of my chin where I skipped the touch ups (or maybe the beginnings of goatee?). I have stuff to work on for Shave # 7, but all things considered, it was a nice shave.

Great picture, Charlie! Sounds like a nice shave with minimal blood loss. I couldn't come up with a grip I was comfortable with for squaring up my sideburns that didn't block my vision.
    Thanks, Patrick!

2nd day of the NEW focus and 2nd day with the Bostonian. Whipped up a nice lather. I really like the lather that Fine produces and I'm lucky that none of mine have diminished scents at all. I'm not quite as big of a Zenith fan as others, but it does the job.
3 passes later and only my right lower neck has held me back from being completely smooth this morning. Still a good start to the day.
    Have a great day all!

I am the same way. The Tatara and the Rex humbled me to start. I shed a lot of blood dialing in those two razors. I think it happens when we use a razor that's sweet spot is outside the norm of our other razors.

    Thank you Jim
