good morning gents..tuesday shave..old faithful is up today.brit/french market rfb with the solid fluted tech handle.platinum blade.brush by Jason omega 10098 replica with it's original knot lathered up the razorock lime soap.fantastic 2+ pass bbs,lime a/s to finish.awesome..have a fine day everyone..

Thanks guys. The cut didn't even bleed, but I did scrape the corner of my mouth just a bit. Not bad at all, but just enough to remind me to pay closer attention. The combination of stretching, angle, and pressure wasn't quite right.

I do have some extra skin I don't need. I may have to give this some thought.

I tried not color coordinating my shaves to start February. Yeah, that didn't last long. It just felt wrong.

Beautiful shave, good choice going with the Stirling. Ive heard its very slick stuff. We have a similar soap available called bundubeard,they have a great menthol range.

Pressure is the biggest irritation culprit in wet shaving.

Many people including myself have made the same mistake even with DE razors. Absolutely 0 pressure is required, and thats one of the things that makes using a safety razor less irritating to skin than modern razors.

I love the SS Flare Tip! Yes, it is incredibly mild, but smooth. Sure, I can only get BBS with 3 passes and some major touch ups, but I always walk away pretty free of irritation (which is a difficult thing to do with my sissified and sensitive skin). I freely acknowledge that there are better razors for you (and for me too when it comes to my chin), but I wouldn't hesitate to give it to someone who is interested in vintage Gillettes. The SS is a great tool--just not for the hard cases
