    Stunning, Clint!
Once you start down the road of color coordinating it's tough to turn back. Believe me, I tried and failed.

100%, but if @NCoxSTL combed it out occasionally, I'm sure all the really old stuff stuck in there would drop out.

I feel another maelstrom arising. I suppose it could be the tacos I had for dinner.

You really think hounds tooth outclasses plaid? After six decades, I'm questioning my fashion choices. Most of the guys in the Hallmark movies wear plaid...

Twister mats and canned Barbasol are a thing. Ask @9nein9. He said he Googled it. I bet he knows more.

Well I got the call to work today and of course I was rushing. I have to say my new brush is fantastic. The brush is soft and whips up a nice lather. However, I didn't do a great lathering job. The lather was wet without much cushion. The rushing, poor lather and new blade was a recipe for disaster. 2 passes gave me an IBSS, but at the expense of a few nicks and neck irritation. Applied the styptic and witchhazel to stop the bleeding and calm the irritation. Topped the shave with the matching aftershave. This was the worst shave in my approx 250 reported shaves. Now, my face doesn't look like I was in a knife fight, but Iam not getting a blue ribbon for Best SOTD. Have a nice day guys! 20200304_142533.jpg 20200304_142533.jpg

    March 5 SOTD:

    Razor: Tom White Alumi-TAR
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
    Lather: Wholly Kaw Monaco Royale
    Aftershave: Wholly Kaw Monaco Royale
    Additional Care:
    Unrefined Shea Butter

This is the last shave with the Alumi-TAR, and I dialed it to 4. Again, there was a noticeable change in aggressiveness, but the razor remained smooth. I had just about completed my shave, finishing up the second pass on the chin, when I got a little careless and relaxed my chin muscles (?) causing the skin to slacken a bit, and the razor got my just a little. A little styptic pencil took care of it, and I had a nice DFS with no irritation. This razor has been a pleasure to use. Tomorrow, I will go with the brass version for 3 days, then the will be on their way to the next lucky gentleman. I hope everyone has a great day!

Sorry about the rough shave, Joseph. Have a great day at school!
Other than the nicked chin it sounds like a great shave, Jim!

Another excellent BBS shave on what is rapidly becoming one of my favorite razors. It’s the second and final shave on this vintage Polish Wizamet. I never use any DE blade for more than two shaves. I’m quite curious as to how the Russian manufactured version will compare. I may order a tuck or two in the future to check them out.

There’s really not much to say about the technical shave itself - another bloodless, two pass (WTG, ATG) relaxing shave. It’s the soap, PannaCrema Nuavia Blu, that I really enjoyed. Rather than wax on about hints of this and layers of that, and in staying true to my olfactory barbarian ways, let’s just say it has a strong smell. Perhaps a bit too strong, as SWMBO complained about it.

It does provide a wonderful post shave feel, one that is quite comparable to MWF. My only concern is the softness of the soap. It’s clearly not triple milled. MWF never lets me down. My only concern would be the soap’s staying power. It’s strong smell, however, moves it out of regular use category, since SWMBO can’t tolerate it. So it’s back to my faithful MWF tomorrow. Today I feel clean, smooth and refreshed!

    RAZOR: Rex Ambassador (5,3)
BLADE: Vintage Polish Wizamet Super Iridium (2)
    PREP: Cold water rinse
BRUSH: RazoRock 400 Special Edition Black Synthetic
    SOAP: PannaCrema Nuavia Blu
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Dickenson’s WH and finished with Fine Accoutrements’s Lavender Pour Homme AS Splash
