Thanks Tim! I just didn't lather properly and thus the cushion wasn't there. I have rushed with my Dovo and never had a poor shave. Having a new blade also didn't help the situation. Honestly, my face isn't badly cut up so that my face looks fine. It just that I also didn't get the usual very close shave. Tomorrow will be a no shave day just to give it a rest. The good thing is that I know what I did and its an easy fix.

Beautiful razor and fantastic shave, Keith! It's ironic, but the booster looks like a man wearing a helmet with a long beard hanging from his chin.

 

The Men's Soap Shoppe sent me an e-mail talkinabout a 30% discount on their products for a few days. Even at that percentage, it's too much for an aftershave, and the soaps look like just that-soap(as opposed to Stoylin style). I have enough going for now. They're based 45 minutes from me.

For the record, I have 294 straight shaves that are divided into 149 traditional and 145 shavette shaves. So it's close to 300 rather than 250. Before I joined this group I already had 49 shavette/straight shave under my belt so that's where I get approximately 250 reported shaves on this thread. So technically it's 1 bad shave out of almost 300.

 

new/tech hybrid, flat bottom tech,flat bottom new ,new rfb..all fabulous shavers.. these are all head heavy with their original handles..this handle levels them up a little ,personal preference..

 

Not going to get to any posts tonight.
Got called back in just got home, so that's, that.
Did get some toys in the mail today.

Well after watching how @wristwatchb stirs the maelstrom on this one, nobody could doubt he could get away with cherry bombing the High School commodes and hanging on his best friend.

Taking a break from shavettes just because I can. I am, however, taking a break with a very aggressive slant. The Wunderbar returns with the Rapira PL to take on the duties for a few days. I love the feel of this razor and how quickly it reduces down to a BBS finish. I used the El Caballero again, and left the top off so you could see what I'm up against in killing this one off. Less total than the Soap Commander so it shouldn't be as fearsome to deal with. We'll see how long it lasts.

Great shave and the finish was indeed BBS. Great way to finish up a Thursday. Enjoy your Friday and here comes the weekend!

I like old razors, they do such a good job.
I looked at my lather catchers, gosh, I got a few, all great shavers.
I recommend one, or two, or.....
Add some bay rum, yes!
