March 2020 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix and Discussion

Charlie, that can't be you in your younger days because I didn't look like that in MY younger days.

 

When my Dad paid for my haircuts, my hair was short. I had no say in the matter. When I started paying for my haircuts, I got it cut the way I wanted, and I let it grow shaggy between cuts. Over the years, it has gotten shorter and thinner. I can't stand going much past five weeks between haircuts. The world is not ready to see Danger with a shaved gourd. I bet a chrome dome is quite comfortable, though. I offered to buzz my head when my Bride loses her hair this Spring, and she has given me strict orders not to do this.

Thanks Jim. It was a cool watch. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the significance attached to this particular reference when I let it go. I wish I still had it, but life goes on.

I still laugh every time I look back at my senior photo. I've got a middle school photo here somewhere where I'm rocking a Seiko diver with a bright orange face on a rubber strap. I think I've shared too much already.

 

Charlie, at the Piggly today, there was a man with a service dog. Nice-looking pooch.

It's doubtful, Terry. Years ago, I vowed to let my hair turn grey before it all turned loose. Currently, there's a race taking place on my scalp to see what's gonna happen first.

I may get a photo wearing my Bride's wig after she's done with it. If so, I'll post that photo for my 30DC ID badge.

Very cool, Paul. I sometimes see folks bringing their service dogs to church. I suppose it's a good way to get the dogs used to being in crowds. I always love seeing them. Seems like most of them are Golden Retrievers. That is my favorite breed of dog...so very gentle and kind. They really do seem like man's best friend.

My family had a Golden when I was a teenager. Poor dog was hit by a car. He was able to wander around for a bit but that was it. I loved that dog, but my sister, for some reason, spent a lot of time "disciplining" him. I really thought that was unnecessary. A bulldog or pitbull yes....but a Golden? Like you said...so very gentle and kind.
