Double windsor knots are the best!

Lovely shave. Feather blades do require some care. I really really like them in my middle of the road razors.

Danny gets plenty of use out of that label maker.

I bought it last year but given the knot I only use it with creams. It made by Silverloaf who also makes straights.

Excellent shave, Tim! You are doing great, but don't be impatient because you are using more time. You are an English teacher and don't you tell your students to be careful when reading a passage for comprehension. Because if they go too fast, then they won't retain what they read or misinterpret the passage. It takes time to be proficient to use an open blade razor. You just started shaving with a shavette and you are getting nice shaves without getting stitches. Slow and steady wins the race. Eventually, you will be on autopilot because you will know how to attack your beard through repeating and tweaking the passes. There have been shavette newbies who gave up after one week because they couldn't get through the idea that it takes time to get decent shaves or they were careless by cuttting themselves. You already passed them and you will be a certifiably efficient disposable straight razor shaver and few men can say that about themselves. So enjoy this journey and don't get hung-up on the shave time. It will come in due season.

My Koraat is a pronounced belly by your picture. It’s the only one I have like it.

My three favorite are the Trinity knot, the Eldredge knot, and the Cape knot.

If I do use a more conservative knot, it's usually a half-Windsor, but realistically I only ever tie that one when I get students coming into my room to help them tie their ties for their FFA uniforms.
