I don't like pork rinds. I do like ribs, steak, pork chops, chicken, salmon and bay scallops.

 

Did front half and finished back with the injector . Tonight I'm going all the way .

It's the end of Monday and time to relax, shave, and get ready for a busy Tuesday! Back to a shavette again, this time the Kai Captain pain stick. As always, I loaded a Feather Pro blade and got ready to go to work. The Kai is a very high quality razor with stainless blade holder and features the basic geometry on the Feather DX. No extra lip, just a smooth transition down the side to the blade edge. Nice grippy rubber to hold onto and very good balance. This razor isn't quite the build that the Feather DX, but it's a step up from the CJB. Definitely a nice middle of the road choice.

It's MENTHOL MONDAY so I used Stirling Black Ice to get that chilly feeling going along with the great black licorice scent. The small JR230 did a fine job of making plenty of lather and it was slick and cushy as always from Stirling. Three passes and I have a near-BBS with no blood or other worries. Alum just a bit warm on my neck where I did some extra touch up and kind of lost track of time there. I was having too much fun. It happens.

Would it help if we referred to pork rinds as carbonated bacon?

That's very good advice--advice that I followed on my first 2 or 3 shaves (you know, back before I had 8 whole shaves logged in). Definitely going to slow the process down. Cut corners with a shavette, and you'll definitely cut something else

 

Great shave, set up, and report Neal. I always hover over Black Ice but never seem to pull the trigger

 

If you like black licorice this one is a great pick. The actual scent is "anise", but it's used in black licorice....duh! Of course, the menthol is the same as Iced Pineapple....oh wait.....you still need that one too, right? Well how about any of the "Iced" versions then. Nice and cold but not gonna freeze you to death.

 

Awesome shave Neal! The Celtic knot really makes the brush stand out!
