I'm enjoying the shavette more this time around Charlie. My grips are there now and I dont question myself before changing direction. Few quirks to work out but thats what perfecting is all about.

Had to break out the injector for cleanup around the back of ears a bit but no shame in that. Got a nick above the ear but figured out my mistake as to why also. Id rate this one a '9'.

I have a new brush in rotation. I ordered the Alpha Outlaw handle with plans to use it for an Omega Boar transplant but the hole was entirely to big. So I went with a Maggard 2 band finest with finished measurements of 30mm x 57mm. This brush will certainly give the CH2 a run for the title of "Soap Destroyer". The big boy loaded and lathered Bad Habits with ease. I changed out the Personna blade to a Schick Proline which really takes the Supply Co SE to another level. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. I forgot to buff my lower right neck. A splash of Bad Habits aftershave and a spritz of Habit Rouge EdT and I am off to my office for a day of tax returns. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

8th day of the NEW focus, 1st with the SC. Whipped up a great lather. I already had this soap sample, but added the splash via Joseph's raffle gift certificate. Love the scent. Is it Autumn? Nope, but it works for late winter/early spring as well. Another great shave. 3 passes later only my upper right neck has me shy of perfection.

Tried a fresh a Voskhod and Derby in the Kronos this morning. First pass on the left side was with the Voskhod and the first pass on the right was with the Derby. Second pass was opposite of the first. Touched up a few areas with the Voskhod after the two passes.

The results.

The Voskhod is a noticeable sharper and smoother blade than the Derby but the Derby is not a bad blade. They both do a good job in the Kronos but the Russian steel just beats the Turkish steel. I can sleep better tonight knowing I have appeased the Cartel. My blade from yesterday apparently had higher miles than I thought.

ATT Focus is complete. I now have to figure out what to get out of the toy box next. Maybe I will get inspired from reading through the shaves today. Do I want to get the Dovo shavette out? I have a nice SE that came from the Canadian side of the border. The Rockwells are feeling neglected. The Gillettes and Gems are hiding out. Almost forgot about the Karve. To many toys but it is fun and we will not even talk about soap.

After two great shaves with the Silversmith, it was time to break out my Grail razor, the LaResche 51. This open comb wonder delivers every bit as good a shave as the Silversmith. My LaResche dates to the very end of production and is NOS. I was fortunate to source this razor in France from the estate of a French collector. Unfortunately, I lost the L’Essor Supreme Adjustable in that same collection when it went for five times what I had budgeted for it.

Needless to say, the razor was an absolute pleasure to use. Without any reservations, my two favorite DE razors are this razor and the Silversmith. Following my usual cold water rinse and a luxurious MWF face and head lather, it swept through my whiskers like Patton through Italy. I took my time and really enjoyed this two pass (WTG, ATG) BBS. I feel clean, smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day!

Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Just a tickle from the alum on the left hollow of my neck.

I received a new brush yesterday. Upon unboxing I was disappointed. Seemed woefully understuffed. Completely redeemed itself in use. The fibers are stout enough that the brush didn't feel at all floppy. Loaded enough soap for my three passes with ease. Splayed easily enough without being too easy. I'm happy.

The Shave...
I was going for a 3 passer, but time was getting away from me and rather than rush it, I simply stopped when time ran out--2 passes and some touch-ups on the chin. DFS over all. Little to no irritation (that’s the important part for me).

Did get careless a few times, though: 3 or 4 set-down errors. 2 of them bled, 1 needed the styptic and I should probably be mindful of the area for tomorrow’s shave. That part is a bit frustrating, cause if we’re going to be 100% honest, set-down errors really are the easiest ones to avoid. It indicates a lack of focus.

One very cool thing, though: the hollow under my jaw, midway and toward the back is getting BBS now. That was typically a difficult area for me with my DE/SE shavers. The hollow under my jaw just before my chin, on the other hand seems a bit trickier with the shavette. And the chin itself, of course, continues to be the devil's playground no matter what I shave with. Still, got better results this morning going with XTG and diagonal ATG strokes along the chin as per Andrew's @Linuxguile suggestion. Onward and upward!

Overall, very happy with the shave

Waiting on the epoxy to dry on one razor, I got out my Yaqi Helmet with a new Feather blade.
Got a close 2 pass head and face shave, and....
Da dada da da daaaaa....
No issues!
When I changed blood thinners, I would find a weeper or two maybe 30 minutes afterwords.
The last few days thats all over.
I have made it back where I was, nice!

Didn't say to much because some think this hobby and blood thinners won't mix.
My doctor doesn't have that opinion, lucky me.
I'm clean and smooth ready for the day!

Some fantastic shaves this week, especially from the boots original shave stick, this stuff produces amazingly slick lather, and it has a wonderful old school scent. The gentleman's groom room malt n Myrtle has been one of my favourite soaps scent wise for a while now, and produces great lather with decent slickness, but it would be even better if they made a tallow based version. This feather is giving me amazing longevity having just completed its 13th shave.

The brut and the malt n myrtle make an almost unbeatable combination scent wise in my opinion.

Well, I was planning on using my Parker Shavette, but somehow my Dovo wanted to play. I like synthetic brushes because the produce lather very quickly so that if you are in a hurry then I would say it is the way to go. Rocky is no exception. I decided to wet the brush and not shake it out. Yes, loading the brush in this manner is unorthodox, but I wanted a goopy lather. I only do this with Stirling soaps because it can handle it. I had a 40 hour stubble and wanted to make sure that my lather was slick and wet enough so I wouldn't cut myself with the new blade. Well, two passes and a touchup on my lower right neck gave me a BBS shave without Nick and Mr. Irritation knocking on my door. The great thing about this shave is that I did a Fool's Pass with a new blade. I normally wait until I have a number of shaves on the blade before making the attempt to do so. I did it because this lather was really cooperating with the slickness and cushion. Applied the matching aftershave and there wasn't any stinging. However, when I applied the Nivea ASB, I was surprised there was very little left in the bottle. Oh well, I have to go to the CVS pharmacy to get some Nivea ASB. Same here Jason. When my dog was alive she got rid of one that was haunting the cans here for a long time until we moved in. Never seen one since in our yard . She didnt kill it but must have scared it bad enough to not come back.
