    Charlie,
Our schools in BC are still technically open, but we have entered Spring Break now. My wife and kids will be home for two week as part of the regular break. Ontario (our largest province) has announced that they will close schools until April 4th after Spring Break.
Last night our province did announce a 14 day ‘quarantine’ on anyone who leaves Canada upon their return. This includes travel to the US and means that you cannot go to work or school for 14 days after you re-enter Canada.

I still can't believe that I am alone in this situation. I call for any and all shavers, who have experienced granules in their soaps to come forward and be counted.
    Thanks, Tim. You, too. :)
    Persistent bugger. :p

It wasn't too bad today, Patrick. I am going to use up my creams and (and croaps) and NEVER purchase another.

Very nice, Gary! The only 7OClocks I have are the now unavailable Russian Blues. Awesome blades. I should pick up some of the others, especially some St Pete’s ones.

Very nice, Clint. Used that new boar enough for a comparison to a Omega Pros, or Zeniths, or your Thater boar?

I can't say I blame you. I have not had a similar problem with AOS creams in the jar. My other creams are in tubes made by large companies. I have not had a problem with them either. Like you I am moving to more hard soaps. I am not moving as quickly and will likely continue to have regular artisan soaps but not as many.

It is quite puzzling that you are the only one with granules in different soaps. Logically, there must be something in your water that is causing it. The only way to discount it is if you had another unused puck of the offending soaps and use distilled water. Otherwise, I am clueless as to why no one else has encountered this dilemna.

The only time I've seen granules was in a tub of Proraso on its last legs. Was probably enough left for maybe 4 shaves but it seemed gritty so I turfed it .
From my hot lather experiment I know heat will break a soap down bad but never let it cool off enough to see what it does when it solidifies as I was using it for the shave and was focusing more on lather .

Thank you Jason. The brush is made by the same folks that make Zenith brushes. It is hard to beat Omega boar brushes for value but I prefer the Zenith (Mondial) boar brushes to Omega and Thater. They have more handle styles and are quickly broken in.

Not sure, Joe. This problem has transcended two houses in two different cities.
