I wonder if you were thrown off at first by the numerous ingredients "mashed" together. It's all attractive stuff, but you wonder what the "mixture" of it all will be like. Glad you like it now :)

    Post - Alum

I made it through Friday the 13th without any problems whatsoever. Of course, we already have toilet paper in the house so we're good. Jennifer went shopping today and found enough food to keep us fat and happy for awhile longer so no worries there either. And work was sufficiently busy to make me smile as I was raking in the dollars. Well, quarters anyway, but that's ok. The only possible moment of bad luck was when I caught my foot in a dog leash or something on the porch of some beat up trailer. I was headed down the steps and my right foot caught and I twisted my knee, which is my bad knee. No swelling but it's a bit tender. If that's the worst a Friday the 13th can throw at me I'm not even the least bit terrified.

So, when it comes to shaving today I decided to move back to a DE and use the aggressive Muhle R41. After a few days with a pain stick I'll enjoy a DE for a few days, even if it's a beast. Or probably just because it is a beast. Sharp Star matches perfectly so there you go. Another run at the El Caballero to continue emptying it out. Still gonna be awhile. The JR46 did a great job. My first @Jayaruh brush and it's a great one.

Three full passes to a BBS and just minor tickling from the alum. I got a bit heavy handed on my neck but not too bad. No blood or other issues so all's well. Hope you have a great weekend!

Yesterday was a day that laid in favor of superstition. Today I have performed a series of apotropaic rituals, although I fear they may bring bad luck...
Today I turn 73,5: do I deserve half wishes?

Here, in the cornfields to be, there is a fresh, grey, milky sky: beautiful!
So, like the Vivaldi of shaving (at least according to the Salieri of shaving...), I summoned my old friends and it was an organoleptic jubilation.

    Palmolive Shave Cream
    Semogue Owners Club

    PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm

The Palmolive Shave Cream face-lathered well with the Semogue Owners Club brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Weck Sextoblade with Personna Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    B&M Hallows SS
    Nivea Cool Kick ASB
    Aqua Velva Musk AS Splash

This Hallows is the only soap from Barrister & Mann that I’ve ever tried - it was sent by my good friend Ignaz, along with a bunch of other awesome stuff. Its scent is lovely, it’s such a pleasure to lather, and it’s got very good skincare. The Nivea Cool Kick balm’s scent should be changed because I’m not a fan of it, but it definitely soothes and cools the skin very well. The Aqua Velva Musk aftershave smells great and it feels really good when you slap it on. The brand new Shark blade ensured a perfect BBS shave![IMG]

Well, I broke my One Blade Core. It fell out of the medicine cabinet and cracked. So, crappy shaves for a week.

Dang. That is a good razor. I wonder what OneBlade might do to help. Did you contact them? You never know, they might fix it for free, or maybe they could charge very little for a repair?

    Strange Days Indeed
This was a superb shave. I think it's important to do some self care these days, especially when it's tempting to skip it. My school will be doing online lessons until mid-April, so I will be teaching from home starting next week.
I think Tabac Craftsman is the wrong name or wrong scent. From the name I expected a woodsy or work related scent, but it's lighter and more citrusy than the original. Not bad, just unexpected.
