Interesting, Tim. With all of your pics showing shave sticks, I assumed you face lathered. Have you been cutting off a chunk of the stick into a bowl? What was your idea behind creating the sticks?

I have a Gamechanger inbound as well, and was noting your comments on how it was as heavy as a a Floating Head. My FH is by far the heaviest razor in my den.

My first few shaves with GSB's were pretty rough. They've since gotten better and I now consider them favorites. I blamed the rough shaves on poor technique but now I'm wondering if it's inconsistencies in the blades.

I agree. Blades vary, but aren't the biggest factor in outcome when learning. Any blade will irritate the skin when used at suboptimal angles or pressures.

I didn't know hibiscus was a color until someone brought that to my attention. I kept calling the guy's shirt pink, and he seemed irritated. I must have missed the day when the teacher covered hibiscus. I don't remember any of the kids asking me for a hibiscus crayon, either.

There's power in knowing.

I'm 7 and out on AC blades. I like the Super Pros the best - more thickness (stability) and exposure.

The whole family slept in this morning. For me that means 7:30 AM but the wife and kids didn't surface until 10 AM. I like being alone in the morning from time-to-time. It was really nice.

With local church services cancelled we decided to have an at home worship service. While I didn't make my kids dress for church I put on my Sunday best and of course that starts with a shave. This shave was a real treat. After seeing Joe @Trigger use his Dovo Special I wanted to use mine. Well, I loved it. It's not as sharp as the fresh feather super pro, but it's smooth. The chocolate scented lather was soothing and the smooth edge made for a relaxing and enjoyable 3 pass shave to a near BBS finish with no cuts or irritation.

As to church, that's the general consensus from my extended family--strange. Miss the church family. We're a bit slow on the draw and will be doing our church thing in an hour or so. The Missus just started giggling. I asked her what's up, and she said, "We're having church at home and I'm still trying to figure out what to wear." We're still getting dressed up.

Then they sent me to UHK (University of Hard Knocks, or Usually Hardly Knows) from which I cannot seem to get my PhD.
