This shave is a 5 shave mini focus on this razor because my maiden shave gave me more than a few weeps albeit I did get an IBSS. Ok, let's get on with my report I just love the C-Mon because its bristles are firm and soft as well as having a nice backbone. It produces a nice lather and today was no exception. The Sandalwood scent really has grown on me and I really do enjoy it. This is the second time that I have used this razor and this shave was much better. I used a lighter touch and the razor responded in kind. I did 2 passes with touch-ups that gave me an IBSS ++, but did get a tiny weep on the mustache going against the grain. Also, I didn't get any irritation. Finished with the AS and the Nivea aftershave balm. I feel that I already have this razor dialed in after 2 shaves, but I want to do 4 more shaves to make sure. It is a nice SE razor and would use it to break the monotony of my straight and shavette shave, but I wouldn't use it as my go to razor. However, it does give a very nice shave and I am glad that it is in my collection. Have a wonderful evening guys!

Thanks Clint! If you and Jim didn't show me your blue and green C-Mons, respectively, then I would've never known about Heritage Collection to purchase my "golden" brush. Again, thanx!

 

Nice Joe!
I like my injectors, but I use B-20 blades. They are sharper than the normal injector blades.
The only issue is you have load the blades into an injector.
Other than that...

Thanks Terry! I had a little difficulty loading this razor because the blade got jammed, but somehow I got it to go in without much ado. I wouldn't know how to manually load it unless I stick something other then a key to raise the head to push the blade in the razor.

It was quiet out there and I can watch all the neighborhood kids play outside. It was good for a change of pace, but I'll be thankful when I can go back to the office again. As for gas, I figure the drive to work costs me $20 per day. Eating lunch at the office is another $10. I'm keeping track so I can order watches and shaving gear.

And I was thinking of you when I picked it Clint. No that's not creepy.

 

Pretty sweet gear there Joe! Glad the 2nd shave was better. It's nice to have a backup razor since, most of us having NOTHING to fall back on in a pinch.

Was there an old blade in it when you tried to load?

 

Thanks Evan! It is very important to experience different razors so that you can better relate to other shavers. Straights and shavettes will always be my primary tools, but it is good to use safety razors every so often.

No Jim! It might have been the mechanism locked and so I just tried it until it went in. It could also have been that the blade was not seated properly in the razor.
