The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #391 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard Tuckaway with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s very easy to overload your brush with this Elysium soap - in fact I don’t think you need more than ten swirls to get a great lather, and me like a shmuck I did twenty five swirls so it turned out to be a big waste of good soap because the lather was flying all over the place. The scent is very nice - there seems to be a bit of peppermint in it with some other notes I cannot describe accurately. The only thing which seems this soap needs is a bit more slickness, otherwise it’s great. The Fino balm felt very moisturizing as well as super soothing, and the Groom aftershave which is made right here in Montreal has a lovely barbershop scent and goes on with no sting whatsoever. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave!

It's St Patrick's Day....I have managed to get some leave (Although the neighbours are looking at me suspiciously).......and 12 years ago today my wife and I became an item!
We can't even go anywhere to celebrate.It looks like it will be a quiet night in with some Wine/Guinness (delete where applicable)
I mainly use SE razors but I like Fatip DEs and when I heard that they had released a slant......I had to get one. Today was it's inaugural outing and I was not disappointed.
3 passes for a perfect finish....although I could have stopped at two

Nice 3 pass BBS. Smooth stainless is good but nothing like the refreshing feel of a good carbon blade slicing whiskers.

Saint Patrick's day shave, I have some gear to remind us of the day. I will be using some older photo's of the shave because my phone was stolen in the hospital were I had some surgery done.

Razor :One blade core Version 2 -mfg 2018> excellent daily driver.
Blade : Gem SS PTFE (6)
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside.
Brush : Yaqi rainbow brown whiskers 26mm.
Preshave : shower and wash the face.
Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave : Razorock XXX with with hazel + Nivea balm.
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = great shave.



Have some great shaves on St Patrick's day.
