Well, things didn't work out as I wanted with my shave this morning-first ever try at face-lathering. I thought I had everything set up the way @Jayaruh did in his video, but the brush was too wet upon meeting the cream. I did what I could, but decided my second "pass" would come after putting much more on and forgoing the brush, That made things a little better, giving me more soap to work with. No cuts-at least THAT as a positive. The Clubman A.S. allowed me to "tip in the rebound of my missed shot". I really thought I could do well with face-lathering, but it wasn't to be on the first try. Barely Excellent.

Thank you Jim. I had forgotten the smoothness and efficiency the Occam's DE. It really is a great razor.

Critical changes to Primo's face this morning.
First, I decided to use the Feather AC, because it has been so long, I wanted to reacquaint myself.
Second...I am lathering up and Dr. Mrs. Primo strongly suggests I remove all facial hair. :shocked003:
"Can I at least keep the soul patch?" "No, that's a spot that can trap germs...a.k.a. viruses. :angry019:
So, with the mandate firmly stated, and with a multiple-used Feather Professional Super blade at the ready,
    off it all went.
Lather. I ALMOST changed things up, but stayed true to my goal.
Milk Churn churned up this lather:

I began the shave as usual, with skin stretching and sideburn aligning.
I continued, WTG, along the right side and when I came to thick mustache hair, I girded my loins
expecting some tugging. :signs002: Huh, no tugging.
    Removed half of the '
stache and moved to the left side.
Now most of the hair under my nose is gone. I am looking at skin, which hasn't seen the light of day
for at least 2-3 years. :shocked029:
    Now...sadly...:angry017: the soul patch. Buh-bye. :angry017:
It was a good one, too.
Rinsed and re-lathered for some touch up work.
Got a nice weeper under the nose, which came as no shock.
Primo is looking ten years younger.
Now I have to keep my hands off of my face.

    Good morning fellas

Ok, this is the same setup and picture as Monday's shave. Everything melded together to produce an IBSS++/VBBS shave. Did 2 passes and minor touchup without a scratch or irritation. I have to admit this shave was as good as any of my shavette or straight razor shaves. Finished with my matching AS and Nivea balm. Have a great day guys!

Good shave Paul! I don't have creams, but I have seen videos on how to facelather with them. You only wet the tips and not the entire brush. You can dot your face with the cream or put a small amount on the brush and have at it. Again, only wet the tips of the brush. Facelathering soap is different because you are wetting the entire brush, then squeeze and shake out the excess water. Swirl the brush on the puck until you load enough soap. First application on the face should be pasty and then add a liittle water each time until you are satisfied with the lather.

What I did was put some dabs of the soap(squeezed from the tube)like I was giving myself the chicken pox. I did indeed wet more than the tips of the brush, and I guess that led to the rest of the shave being "barely excellent"). Thanks for the advice.

Excellent shave report and photo Primo. Looking 10 years younger is good thing. At least it is at my age. The Feather with its wood scales really looks fantastic.

    Well how bout that.....
    Yesterday.
My wonderful wife wanted chilli for super.
She likes hamburger in it, of course, that was all sold out in town.

Being out in the woods, knowing what I know about living in the sticks.

9, that's nine years ago, I cooked, dehydrated, then sealed some lean hamburger in quart canning jars.
I put an oxygen depletion pack in each one.
Put them on the bottom of the frezzer door.
    Then forgot about them.
About 2 years ago we had some issues with travel, used some then.

Pouring about a half a cup or so into the chilli, added some extra water. It cooked for a while, as good chilli should.

    No one new the difference.

    Yeah they ate it all.
I've got a little over 3 quarts (of hamburger) left.

That's how I know how to store classic steel blades.
I don't put them in the freezer, They're not organic protein, but I do keep them in a oxygen deprived environment.

    Just saying.....

    Keep the faith!
