Today's shave was started with a japanese tasser razor. The edge on the taser needs some work. I ended up having to grab the schulze to finish my neck. I will get the edge on this tasser up to the same as my other japanese razors. Grabbed the schulze and had very comfortable against the grain shave on my neck.
Great shave, from an acquisition, from France. I had a very smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me smooth as a Dolphins Butt. This steel can take on a scary sharp edge. Razor- PUMA 39. 6/8th inch Half Hollow. Best Silver Steel. Solingen. Brush- B-400, By Tom. Omega Boar knot. Soap- Holy Kaw. OUD. Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Vikings Horn Decanter.
Thanks. It was in excellent condition when I got it. I couldn't believe how good it was. It did have some mismatch dipped secondary so I took that off and used a cotton secondary from a japanese strop that the leather was not salvageable.
Time for the big Herder... Might have gone a wee bit overboard collecting these. Enjoy your shave. Tom
I know what you mean. You guys make great pictures. It's an absolute joy too see. I can't reconstruct the shave. This is a more technical picture. Now back to the razor. I bought it via the bay in France. It's a pleaure to use.
Great razor. I enjoy seeing tools, whether razors or other tools. That is really nice. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Yesterday’s shave, M. Jung honed up on my friend Mike’s Ozuku which was in for a paint job (cashew lacquer). Today’s shave, test Monkey M6, testing the small pretty jnat koppa. Looks like an addition to the team! Cream was in both cases SMN and the AS was Myrsol Agua Balsamica. Shaves were great, and I’m impressed with the koppa, very fast and very fine. With a red racing stripe on the side as a bonus.
Just a few strokes with the kabrand 426 to test. Test was ok. The shave was with the smaller razor. This one is a mystery to me. The etching sais kabban. The box was half kabrand half another. Tabac shaving soap and tabac gentlemen's care as and balm was used. Have a nice day.

Green was the theme today. Green Lizard 6/8 razor and Mammoth Kryptonite soap and A/S. This shave was unreal. 2 passes and you couldn’t find a whiskey on my face with a microscope. This is also the most heavily mentholated soap I’ve ever used. Putting it back away until summer, I can’t imagine how great it will be on a hot July morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
