2nd day in a row with no shave. I'm practically mountain man now. This Heeley fragrance just arrived yesterday. Man, this is a great, original one. Sure, it opens up like Tiger Balm, but it has all kinds of herbal and spice notes. I'm trying to piece together some hodge podge shaving products for a set. I'm thinking Proraso Green cream and Thayer's Medicated Witch Hazel aftershave and the deodorant is probably going to be a baking soda one, maybe Arm & Hammer brand like I once wore a decade+ ago. That scent would pair up without interfering. Another possibility is Pacific Shaving Co. cream & balm with the Thayer's Medicated. This will be a tough choice to figure out what goes with Esprit du Tigre. The rest of it is up in the air at the moment. You'll find out in the coming weeks what products I pick with this.

It is emotionally difficult for me to realize the desert around ...
On a superliminal level I am aware of it, but instinctively not: here it is always, more or less, deserted.

There should be a market on Friday, but this morning the village square was empty: a 'masked' old man was walking alone.
The coffee shop, normally the center of cultural exchanges and organoleptic satisfaction, was closed.
During daytime I have never seen anything like this!

Traffic restrictions require to learn to separate the necessary from the superfluous. And it is what I did with my gear today.

The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #391 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard Tuckaway with a Gillette Silver Blue half blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
