Great shave and recap Tim. Don’t let Charlie fool you. For years he used only Feather blades.

Friday at last.....even though I have to work all weekend. Up today is the TOBS Mr Taylors Shave Cream. I really like TOBS cream in the larger tub but I am not sure the tube is the same. Either way this particular cream and scent is Meh at best. SSSh. It is a gift from my wife, so I will happy use it to the last squeeze. However, given the way I feel about the cream, I am making sure to over use it each time. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. My mind was more on the day ahead than the task at hand. A splash of Stirling R4L followed by a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver EdT and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Wonderful B&W shot, Clint! Too bad the cream isn't better but so nice that your wife supports your hobby.

Oh OK..right I did see that. But isn't that more of a "nickname"???? Or are you stickin' with the nick?

Fine shave Tim! That's very brave of you to try a Feather blade in a shavette. On that note, you surpassed me. Lol! The Stirling brush is gorgeous. I was going to buy it, but I decided to get the boar instead. 17 shavette shaves under your belt without major cuts is quite an accomplishment. Keep it going!

Very happy with my shave this morning. I must say, triple-milled soap aggravates me, but only because you use it a lot and there isn't much to show for all that use. No telling how long I'll have the Razorock Lime Burst here, but it does produce a nice shave. Plus there can be many different aftershaves to use with it(course one exception might be Stoylin's Texas On Fire, chuk yuk yuk). I had the Mennen Skin-Bracer this morning, As with Aqua Velva, you have to be careful pouring it into your hand. Might get too much..but that's why Chemistry was invented right @Trigger? Both involve "careful experimentation". Anyway a real nice shave with the combo. Weeper developed in its usual area, just over the upper lip, this time on the left. Overall-Quite Excellent.

Nice shave Paul! As far as why Chemistry was invented, it was always there, but it took many scientists to piece it together over a few millenia. However, chemists do invoke safe practices and it should be a part of our shaving routine.

Thank you Gents. I am very lucky that my wife supports this hobby. The other TOBS cream she brought smells better and the TOBS soap is great. So I guess 2 out of 3 is not too bad.

Well, was just thinking-Bunsen burners should be dealt with carefully, in addition to the "experiments" you do. Few Millenia, huh? wow. Talk about vintage!

The section on how to handle DE blades, straight razors and their proper placement on counter is a must read.

Thanks, Jim! Yes, It'll be fun to have some wet shavers in the family (my sons don't count... it's all they've ever known, so it's just another hygiene hoop to jump through for them ).
