As always, amazing photo and report, Joseph! I know it's been a source of frustration to you, but I'll be a bit sad to see the HA bottom out--it's been fun following your granule adventures/misadventures ;)

Hi, Rick! I am most certainly a wet-behind-the-ears 30DC member, but it's been a fun couple of months, and I've learned a whole lot more these two months than when I was slogging around on my own.

It was just dumb luck how my mom stumbled on Whipped Dog. She was looking up straight shaving on YouTube, and saw a local news story they did on Larry. Googled him, liked what she saw, then placed the order.

    As for the name...

    Thank you, Jason!

I didn't know that about Agar/Oud essential oil. I would have to agree that Stirling probably uses a synthetic.

It's a Semogue Owner's Club that Andew PIF'd my way. The shedding seems to have slowed down a bit, which is good because it's blossoming out rather nicely.

I've got that one, too Paul. It's a hard, triple milled soap so it does take a bit of effort to load a brush compared to Stirling and those softer products. Do we still discuss blooming? The good news is it's all soap with less water already blended in so it'll last a long time. Goes well with those Pinaud's, too. Both Lime Sec & Citrus Musk AS.

Hey Patrick! Same here. Did I read correctly - you are head shaving, too? Is that a new thing for you? I've kept up with it since 1st of December. Had to or I couldn't get a knit hat on with the prickly Velco stubble. Great ShaveFu multiquote. I'd forgotten how much I like those as it lets me see condensed info all in one post.

Good evening (UK time) chaps. Rather bizarre time to come back to a shaving forum! I guess I was thinking about all the people that I know, and I was wondering how everyone was coping and keeping safe!

I actually spent a month (purely for fun) shaving with disposable 3 blade Wilkinson Sword razors. Interestingly enough... I got no irritation and good clean shaves. I wasn't able to get as close on my chin and jawline with the disposables as I can with my Fatip Grande, though.

So... Back to the grind with the Fatip loaded with an Astra SP blade. All good stuff!

I decided the Karve was just too good to let go so I took your suggestion. Given my well know lack of patience, I antiqued the brass today.

Good to be back! Is most of the 30DC still hanging around?

I was about to say that it would hold a unique place in your den, but then I remembered you have a brass Colonial General. Did you let that one show some age as well, or do you keep it polished?

@jtspartan Here is the finished product with the D plate. I think it turned out pretty well. Now the areas that get wear will polish up some with use.

Thanks Gary. All good here. How about you and your Bride?
Thanks Joe. I agree on the brush. @jtspartan is a master wood worker.
Thanks Jason. Shakespeare is more fun in person than on the screen, to be honest. Still, I'm thankful for the group's efforts to create community in novel ways during times like these. This is quite a generous, humble, and talented group of actors. They provide plays all over our city during the summer for donations only. Thanks to corporate donations, they've been able to construct a very nice outdoor theater in one of our downtown parks. It wouldn't be summer 'round here without them.

Thanks Clint. I hope works calms downs for your soon, my friend. It will be good to have Maya home. Will Asha be coming home from university also?
Thanks Tim. The Parker SRX is fairly easy to keep clean. It gets a quick wipe down after every shave, and that's about it.

Sounds like you have a good plan for your shaves too. I'm really proud and excited for your progress. Keep up the great work. :happy088:
