It will be nice to have Maya home for an extended summer. Asha will be staying in Tempe until late May or early June. She needs to finish up her practicum hours to be licensed. The University of South FL is requiring her to have her license so she can TA Master's students. When everything calms down with CV19, Asha and I will be going to Tampa to find her an apartment. The TA salary and tuition waiver means should cover most of her living expenses. :happy093::happy093: It will be like a huge pay raise for Swati and I.

Might have been Decadent December of '17 or '18, I choose to up my lather game for the month's theme. Once you go down that path all lathers get better. Doing the spreadsheet for soaps ought to convince you you NEED to have lots of high quality lather. Or add shelving for the new products. I've given away soap but have yet to finish one.

Hello James! It's good to hear from you, my friend. I pray you and your family are doing well.

Aside from what's going on around the world now, we have a couple of other hurdles to clear, and then we hope to make another trip to the UK. It's a wonderful place, and we want to go back for another visit.

I'm glad you decided to hang on to the Karve, Clint. I know it goes against your instincts not to polish it, but I bet it will look good antiqued.

That sounds wonderful, Clint. You and Swati must be incredibly proud of Maya and Asha!

I am very proud that they have both turned out to be solid citizens and good people. We liken ourselves to good cooks. God gave us fantastic raw ingredients with both girls and we didn't screw things up in the prep.

Since you’ve been gone I have instituted a semi-firm ‘one in, one out’ protocol. I won’t move something in without moving something out. I just moved a large software lot out. I had exempted my brushes from that rule, but they’re getting out of hand now, too...

    Nice work, Clint.
I got bored last night and hit the lathe room. One done, and a few others on the go. Got inspired by those two tone Heritage dupes and bought some white dye while the store was still open. Put in a large Omega Pro ‘48. The knot @Bama Samurai once described as good for mopping up suds from a disco floor...:happy102:

    I know it's morning somewhere.
But, good afternoon from the woods!
Why was today busy,?? well that's the way the cookie crumbles.
While I'm on the cookie thing.
Why couldn't I vote for both????
    Anyway....
Using the mild mannered razors, I needed a reprieve from those tools.

I grabbed my Yaqi Beast and inserted a new Feather blade.
Lathering my brush like it's my last day on earth, I proceeded to work.
Now I normally get a shower first, but that was hours ago before rushing out the door.
Today, the first coating was a pre-shave, well done, then hot water rince.
    Felt great.
The second coating of marvelous sandalwood lather, was as good as it gets.
Now going from a few days of super speeds to the Yaqi Beast could lead to some blood letting.
    Hmmmmm???
The first pass was as close as it gets, cleaned the 30 hours of bristles away quite nicely.
Now re-lathering once again, my mug was prepared for the final whisker removal.
All clear and clean, I snuck in a tad of clean up below the lip.
The mug is done, no issues.
    Feels gooood!
The gord received the same pre-shave and lathering.
Keeping the lather consistent and smooth.
Oops! I dropped the brush on the floor.
    Well....
Cleaned it out and whipped up some more shave goodness.
The first pass was great till I hit a bump that raised up since the last mowing in the back.
It took the stypick pencil to calm it down, no problem stopping the leaking.
Now I could've stopped right there.
The closeness was better than most razors 2 pass.
But no, on to the final pass.
Not having any problems going over the previous leaking area, I took the Beast for another tour of the gord.
Did I get a shave,, and a shine???
    Well maybe!?

Having time for a good DE shave was nice for once.
Well it's about time for the little one to finish napping.

Seeing as I'm high risk to the virus hitting the globe, going into work I took precautions.
I've kept an emergency pack in my car due to illnesses for a few years.

Some of it came in handy today.
I've had to dig into it before, but never figured anything like this.

    All
    be good
    be safe
    be happy

    ENJOY!

The brush looks fantastic. I got bored as well. I removed the Tuxedo knot from the 30DC LE handle and installed an Omega Pro 49 knot. I guess I can use up some more soaps breaking in the knot. :happy097:

Verily, Sir. Yesterday I moved all but one winter coat from the rack by my front door. Started wearing shorts instead of long pants last couple days. My pecan tree started popping buds and it's always the last tree to wake up in Spring. This morning it was 61F with a good breeze that made me think "wind chill".
Think of it as an opportunity to try another facet of the wet shaving hobby. If you like the brush handle replacing the knot let's you choose which fiber it gets next. For a boar brush I'd recommend buying a new Omega and sacrificing the handle when you harvest the knot.
