So, I worked from home all week. Gave up on working from the RV and evicted the kids from my office in the house. Surprisingly, the didn't fight me much at all. With most of my team working in San Jose while I work in Utah, working from home hasn't changed things all that much for me. I spend about half my day in Video Conferences. Which really wasn't that much different than my day before. I started using my iPad as a dedicated VC device and really like it. Plus, my kids are doing really well with taking their classes online. Of course, it only takes them about 2 hours to finish their assignments and then they pretty much get unlimited video game time until I finish my day... They'll get tired of it before this is over, but I'll take the well behaved kids while I can.

This week I realized how blessed I am to have my family. WFH isn't much fun, but I'm not alone. Last night my wife told me she's actually enjoying the extra family time. We feel close as a family and our kids are connecting with us in ways they usually don't.

In my 1:1 meetings with my team they all linger and want to chat longer than they ever did when working in the office. Monday I've scheduled virtual breakroom time with the guys that sit near me in Utah. This group of friends would walk to the beakroom for a short break in the mornings and afternoons most days. I also scheduled a video lunch for the whole team to just chat and give updates while we take our lunch break. Work conversation will be discouraged in both meetings. I figure we take at least an hour each day socializing together when we work in the office. We should try to maintain that social connection while we can't be together in person.

As far as the shave goes, I'm happy to report that the Super Pro blade gets smoother with a few uses. Save 5 was really nice. Very smooth with a BBS finish. The Gold Label soap is good. I admit there are others like like a lot better, but it's nice to have for variety.

I thought WFH would mean making a few more brush handles and plating more razors. So far, any extra time I've gained has been consumed by extra time with my family.

We have a lot to be thankful for even with a mountain of trials at our doorstep, life is still good.

Everyone stay safe and healthy out there.

Only during your First Post here Tim. After that you receive full 30 Day Crew privileges, rights, and responsibilities. I resisted joining at first. Thought I was doing well with my self taught skills. There's always more to learn. This hive mind collective of experience may give different opinions when queried, but the knowledge database is deep. Monty Python references are always welcome, too.
Yes Jason, I hardly ever equivocate, too. I read that The Traveling Box had appointed me the trustee when the current round ends. That'll give me a place to move out gear I'm not using so I can buy more!
Which handle are you using Terry? I've settled on a 62 gram Maggard MR18 stainless steel. It adds a little heft to the light weight base and cap.

Fantastic report, Terry. Glad to see you using an aggressive monster again (I know how much you like them). Take care of yourself and those grand-critters, sir! :D

I'm not sure how heavy it is, I just know it is heavy.
I'm using the one that came with it.
I bought the thing with a handle, not just the head.
A heavy handle is good for balance on the head shave.
IF you need to know, I'll weigh it for you.

It makes sense that it would go well with the Pinaud Limes. I might go for ome before we hit summer. Thinkin' about the Stoylin Lime A.S., too. And we still do the blooming discussion, Rick. I'll make sure to do it on that Razorock. Not much but enough. As Vice-President of the Bloomers club, I've learned my limits well :).

Nice shave Charlie! Was there an agreement to use the 30DC LE brushes? Anyway, I hope all is well and you're staying out of trouble. I know you claim trouble finds you, but we all know better. :)

And I have almost purchased a Parker SRX several times this month. Honestly, I'm amazed at the self control I'm showing... <-- grits teeth and posts before placing order
