I just wish that I had the ability to do lettering like your Heritage, Joe. The inability to do nice lettering has bugged me since the original 30DC LE, to be honest...

I hear you, Jason! However, I am sure you can find how to do it on the internet and then go from there. I am thinking laser printing and downloading the design, but that probably would be expensive.

Sorry to hear that, Joe. I truly hope you can get back to your teaching, which we know you love, and earning a paycheque as quickly as possible.

Thanks Jason! God shall supply my needs accordingly. My late mother always said that she never worried about me eating. I have gone through worse things in life and this is just a wrinkle in the scheme of things.

Man! When you start getting flak from the Chem department, it's time to reevaluate the efficacy in one's chosen career path; I might be driving a cab with you--I drove an armored truck for 5 years, so at least I have some experience lugging things around :happy102:

Yes, the equipment is out there and yes, it is expensive. I just make turnings for a fun hobby. I keep trying different things just to keep it interesting and I do enjoy pushing my skills a bit, but I’m not really increasing my volume any time soon to justify that type of professional equipment.
I’m on a bit of a run with resins right now, but will probably go back to wood/resin mixes or just straight wood. I find it more enjoyable to work with. I will make some more resin razor stands, though, as the weight is beneficial.

Thank you, Jason! I've been one-and-done with the Personnas up until this Feather. I think you're right though; while I liked the 2nd and 3rd shave better than the 1st, I have a sneaking suspicion that shave #4 would wind up not being nearly as pleasant. ;)

Gee, I thought you would give me brownie points for the appropriate rhyming emotive word. Lol!

You're maxed out, sir. I don't think I can go higher than A+++

    But for you... A++++ ;):D

    Thank you Jim!

    Sincerely appreciated Joseph!

Thanks Jason. Color matching....there's some high standards here, and they've gotten even higher  just the 3 weeks I fell out of the loop.

    Thanks Gary!

Thanks for the kind words Joe!

    Thank you kindly Clint!

    Thank you Tim!

I see you're on a 100 run. Awesome! I'm not that dedicated to one device....but I do love being a 95% open blade shaver, regardless of straight, kamisori, or the Feather shavette I have. The Focus shavettes have been an interest. Hmm...

Well, I cheated the last two Sundays in order to shave with a couple new razors that came my way. Sticking with one razor is how I shaved for most of my 7 0r 8 years wet shaving... then I joined the 30DC group and, well... you know. ;)

The Focus R21 is a light shaver. I typically prefer something a bit heaver, but I've really enjoyed shaving with it so far--in my book, a keeper! :D

Thanks Paul. For now, the season is scheduled to open on June 10. Some folks even take their dogs. :)

Thanks Evan. Yes, our people have been in secret negotiations for months on international brush agreements. All the major players have seats at the table - US, Canada, South Korea, and Alabama.

I've enjoyed reading your posts about how you and your family are coping with the pandemic. It sounds like you're doing great, and your home and work teams don't seem to be missing a beat!

All's well here. It's hard to cause trouble when you're under house arrest. ;) We've also been keeping up on a few things via Facebook Live events, podcasts, and webinars. I caught myself almost signing up for Instagram this week to catch an Instagram Live event, but I quickly came to my senses. No Twitter and Instagram for this old hillbilly!

You have the Feather Artist Club DX, the Cadillac of all shavettes. Still, I think you'd enjoy the variety that the Parker SRX offers. It's hard to pass up for $25. I used a Feather AC SS Kamisori for awhile (passed it on to someone), but I still have a new Feather AC SS folder that I'll bring out eventually. I'd like to have the DX as well. I'm sure I'll eventually get one if you keep posting photos of yours in action!

    Take care and be safe!

While Feathers always have the Max Headroom Seal of Approval, GSB rules the roost in the Headroom household for 1/2 DE Shavettes.

The sharper the blade, the less force required to cut hair.

I still got it as far as negotiating grades ala my Dr. Szusz' Advanced Calculus story. Lol! It's always good to rib other teachers from other disciplines.

Thanks Terry. You'll know when it's the right time for an open blade. All you need is a Parker SRX and a Fistful of Feathers.

    Welcome back!

Charlie tried to cherry bomb the commodes again, but I snitched him out.

I would say the sharper the shaver's technique would also be an important factor, too.
