I'm alright. Been exhausted and stressed out lately, but I'm hanging in there.

aylo everybody... how are things?

I'm still up... got suckered into comparing phone/internet/tv bundles. Looks like I am calling DirecTV tomorrow to find out why my protection plan replacement of a dead DVR extended my service agreement by two years.

 

yeah, I certainly hope the energy returns soon

with all the departures here lately - be it eternal, by choice, by necessity, or by removal - there has certainly seemed to have been an effect on the mojo of the thread.

well I doubt that I would have any better customer service under Comcast.

Last August DTV replaced a dead receiver without any problem and never said anything about us owing anything (which we shouldn't under the protection plan we pay for). Then on our next bill there was a charge for $298 for the new receiver. We called in, we were told it was taken care of, and then it popped up in the next bill with a late fee. So we called again to deal with it. Then the next bill the charge was removed but not the late fee and a charge for a technician to come remove the box was on the bill as well as a charge for a canceled service call. Ugh... it took about four months to get it all straightened out. I just finished getting through their system that we didn't want Sunday Ticket this year and now I find out that our 2 year service agreement won't let us cancel without a big fee? 2 year agreement? I have been on DirecTV for about 6 years! ComCast is looking very good at the moment (especially with Verizon continually reducing our internet speed while advertising how much better things would be if we switched to FIOS)

Sorry.. it is late, and I am annoyed (no, not the NOID...)

 

Oh I know Comcast wouldn't be any better, but at least they have a local office where I can go and to get annoyed, and get things done while I'm there.

Luckily I haven't really had much problems with Dishnetwork, but a friend of mine has just had a nightmare with them recently.

If it makes you feel better we can talk about cellphone companies.
