I broke out the lathe yesterday and turned nine handles. Now, I will be able to work on them at my leisure. I have a bunch of knots coming, so I won't be finishing any of them before next weekend probably. The next step is making the holes for the knots. Numbers to be determined. The bottom right is going to be 404 by request.

Thank you. That top middle one will eventually be a 400 type brush. I will also designate it as #400. How about that?

What kind of wood are the two 400 style handles?

Made a couple this weekend that were a departure for me. Some of my usual styles, but in some two tone resins that were a new technique for me. They are two piece handles and I definitely went for a retro look with the white resin. Omega ‘49 in the bronze/white one and a ‘48 in the white/blue one. Knots got one defunking lather, but still are nowhere near broken in. I’m keeping one, and the other one is going to a TSD friend:

That is very fine work. Did you pour the blank yourself?

Very nice, Jim. I really like the 400 on top and the flutes on the bottom right.
As you have a forstner or sawtooth bit, have you tried boring the hole on the lathe?

Didn’t plan them that way, but if I did the chances of me doing one in Maple Leafs colours is equivalent to the square root of zero...:)

Thank you very much. I admire your work so the complement means all the more.
This was a store bought blank.
