I think I can also claim to love learning challenging and rare skills. I started wet shaving out of a desire to learn to hone a blade razor sharp. Then I shaved with one and I was hooked. I purchased my first DE to use on a business trip... even road a Bird scooter 1.3 miles through San Jose to find a CVS and buy DE blades. 1.3 miles is a long way on an electric scooter.



Hard to believe that was 1 year ago this week.

Shavettes are the last stop on my journey. I like everything and admit shavettes have been the hardest for me to master.

my walls don't talk back..yet.but i know little about other than gillette razors,only logic.can't offer much .but am enjoying the company..

 

I don't like to brag, Gary. However, now that I've conquered shavettes, I'm ready to take the next step.

 

I would suggest that you never go into a luncheonette or drive a Corvette.

It's the end of a Sunday or close to it, so it's time to put the weekend to bed around here. Another day spent wandering the wastelands of STL in search of hungry people with money. Well, ok, so they search out the food and I just show up with it, but it sounds much more dramatic my way. I was standing in a certain restaurant, famous for wings, lots of sports and a fascination with the sound owls make and saw a sign on the wall I had never seen before. I've been there many times but I guess when it's empty because all they're doing is take out and delivery it looks different. Anyway, it posed a thought that the most philosophical of this bunch should probably consider. Here you go.

Just some food for thought for those of high intelligence. Or, I don't know, maybe not that high. Anyway, that was a highlight. I started taking a few pictures as I went about my day and decided I'm going to start posting "Pictures from the Pandemic" on a couple of places for some of my friends and others who aren't able to get out due to health issues. I know they are a bit stir crazy and I see a lot so I'll just try to share. This was my first contribution that sort of inspired the idea.

Ok, enough of that. How about shaving talk? Well, I decided no reason not to use the SS and Pro blade combo again. Still performing perfectly well. Another day on the El Caballero to try and help it disappear. It's taking its time, as all soaps do. The JR54 did a first rate job and provided more than enough lather for three full passes to reach near-BBS. That works for me and I am a very happy camper with that. Monday starts with a conference call of sorts then has a couple of meetings behind it and that will be my "day off". Fun stuff, right? Keep the faith and have a great start to your week!!

Won't argue with that either--diner or nothing, and I have no interest in driving anything less manly than a Corve.
