@wchnu will have you on report for making a wisecrack about Williams, Tim. Please don't mention blooming soap or how wonderful DE razors are, either, as that results in additional penalties. You haven't met him yet, but you'll know him when you see him. He's the extremely old guy that runs naked through the room occasionally. That's why we have to keep a plastic cover on the couch. I know, I know...it looks tacky, but wait till you see @wchnu.

Beautiful Bay Rum shave, Joe--and that brush handle...

Funny, I have the same problem... but with face lathering. Instead of applying the shave stick directly to my face, next time I'll try loading it how I normally do (brush to shave stick) just to take out that variable.

 

Then he's welcome to stay at my house any time. I have an extremely young guy that behaves just like him--say! Those couch covers aren't a bad idea...

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - PS Tube 2.0, ASB Star Jelly, Et Tu CK6 SS & AS/C
@jtspartan BRM w/TGN 28mm Silvertip
J3Customs Kamisori

Bowl lathered with PAA's CK6 Et Tu (Fabergè Brut clone) shave soap, and Jason's BRM handle outfitted with a monstrous TGN 28mm knot. Bowl overflowing, slick super smelling goodness! Hadn't used this kamisori in a good while, so it spent some time on a pasted linen strop, followed with more laps on a bridle leather strop. Smooth shaver, 2 passes w/neck touch ups revealed a DFS+ today.

Two J3Customs kamisoris. Top is custom design, measures 23/16 at the toe, 24/16 at the heel. Bottom razor is the #2 design (as depicted in several of his 'Bay auctions), this example measures 17/16ths full span of the blade.

Hemingway Accoutrements~~Parker~~2011 Mühle R41~~Voskhod
Last shave with the HA Crème.
Put it to the ultimate DE test with the 2011 R41.
With a fresh Voskhod, I did a three-pass shave.
Kept the angle shallow and avoided any mishaps.
Super-drippy lather went flying everywhere during the application.
Not much to add. I kept to the game plan and with extreme discipline, finished this product.
On deck tomorrow, a new cream (mostly used) TOBS Sandalwood, brought to me by my son.
Caveat: I have to like this cream before I commit to a full usage.
Side note: I have never used this product before.​

 

Amazing set up, Blair! That looks like the kamisori I had an eye on. Super glad to hear the quality gets your seal of approval--now to start the planning phase of my 247-stage offensive to get the Missus to agree that sharpened steel makes the best birthday gifts

Jason makes some pretty superb brush handles--that design is pretty boss!
