Any Soap/Cream that pairs perfectly with Houbigant - Fougere Royale?

Any Soap/Cream that pairs perfectly with Houbigant - Fougere Royale?

I bought the fragrance and now need to put together a shaving set for it.

 

There are a few posts out there that say Barrister and Mann Reserve Fern. Sounds like something B&M would go after. I think there EDT Fougere Imperiale references your scent.

 

Th two closest I have tried are MdC Fougere and West Cost Shaving Fougere.

 

Not an exact match. But Houbigant Royal Fougere pairs well with SV Felce IMO.

 

B&M Barrister’s Reserve Fern is based on it. I have no idea how close it is to the original.

 

Ok. I went the budget route with West Coast Shaving's Jojoba "Fougere". I know that WCS's Jojoba cream is made by Catie's Bubbles and I highly trust Chris Cullen's cream formula. And will likely use Witch Hazel as an aftershave at first then test out my Booster Mosswood aftershave afterwards to evaluate if it pairs successfully with Fougere Royale. It's pretty important to me that Fougere Royale's scent not get altered by the shaving products. It's a high quality fragrance and there are a million different fougeres out there that smell completely different.

 

Love B&M soap...not so much the Reserve Base. Too gooey.
