Thanks, Gary. I forgot that Salter is British. I have to give them some serious props for that soap. I stand by my Bay Rum statement.

Been slacking off on the shaves lately and starting to look scruffy so I had to rectify the situation.
Got a nice smooth 2 passer in without drama or needing a cleanup. Starting a goatee so the shave went faster today with less area to cover .

The new CTS soaps are officially listed now......I'll be very interested to see how Padre Island competes with Down At The River.(They aren't QUITE similar.except for the fact that there's a sensation of water with both.) In a way, I'd say the comparison might be similar to that of Stoylins Conferous and Scots Pine.

    Thank you, Gentlemen.
One positive to working from home is that when I take a lunch break, at least I get to have lunch with my wife and kids.

Very nice, Patrick. FYI, those Highland Springs products are now available through Top of the Chain.

Great shave and photo, Patrick--nice to see BoS getting a bit of love this week! After last summer, it'l be another year or so before I'll be able to bring myself to grow my beard out again. So. Itchy. :happy102:

I hope you feel better soon, Clint. The first of the two Shingrix vaccinations made my arm really sore for a couple of days. It got better quickly, though. The second one was easier. IMO, it's definitely worth some short-term discomfort to avoid getting the Shingles.

My doc now wants me to get a pneumovax-23 injection because of my Bride's upcoming transplant. Through my volunteer work with the kids and our travels, I'm otherwise thankfully up-to-date on all my shots.

I hope we'll all receive a coronavirus vaccine injection sometime in the next few months. This will be the first time I've ever looked forward to getting a shot. :)

    The Shave...
Another 2 pass shave today (WTG/ATG) plus a good amount of chasing. I think the biggest issue I have when I run after the critter is I simply don’t use enough lather. If I kept the razor in one hand and the brush in the other, I’d probably suffer less irritation when I do it. Takeaway: if you’re going to chase, don’t cut corners with the lather. Fortunately, my irritation isn’t as bad as I probably deserve, but considering my last few shaves have come without it, it does cast a small pall over a DFS.

As far as blood goes, I had a slight set-down right at the base of my nose/top of upper lip. Nothing requiring a styptic. Honestly, I’m kind of impressed this hasn’t happened sooner. Even with all the stretching and pulling, I always wonder if this is going to be the day--today it was :happy102:

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day-before-Friday--be safe, everybody! :D

    24 down, 76 to go!

This is my 3rd bowl lather shave and the lather that I produced was very yogurty with nice slickness. Attacked a 30 hr stubble with 2 passes to get a no irritation IBSS++ shave. Did nick my right neck, but it disappeared during my second pass without any intervention. Applied the matching aftershave and Nivea balm to end a nice, comfortable shave. Stay safe guys!

Thank you Charlie. I had no reaction to the first shingles injection. I’ve had most of the possible side effects of the second round. Either way it’s worth it.

Fantastic picture Tim. Learning how we create our own problems is part of the process. My self created problems still bite me at times.
