Friday shave at the beach. I’m on the east coast staying on the ocean. Yesterday I went hiking at Seorak mountain 설악산, which is considered to be the most beautiful mountain in South Korea. Brought a long a simple set up featuring a Parker shavette since many are using shavette this month. A nice shave today.

Something quite incredible happened today in STL. After a morning of rain and clouds, the sky cleared, the sun came out and we hit 79 degrees. What?!?!?! Yeah, I know. While there was no general panic it did seem to confuse most people who were out and about today. Of course, with the whole pandemic thing going on that wasn't that many. Still, a very nice day and a good day to be running around handing out food.

Shave time tonight still featured the Luxor Pro shavette with Sharp Star. I worked on the El Caballero with the 30DC meet-up brush. That SynBad knot makes an extremely luxurious lather an I loaded it heavy. Three full passes and even a bit of playing around with some "G-slides" brought me to a near-BBS but did raise the irritation a bit. Fair trade off. And if you're wondering how you do a G-slide with a shavette it's really as simple as two words. Very carefully. And not much of an angle. I was just wanting to see if it would make a huge difference. Probably just as well to stick with standard passes with a shavette.

Looks like we're approaching the end of another week! Happy Friday and have a great one!!

Thanks, Jason! It's a fun job, but definitely more fun in person rather than by phone or email ;)

Fantastic photo and report, Neal! You made the jump to near 80's pretty darned quick--seems like I always get sick when we have major temp shifts like that. Way to work the Gillette slide into your shavette shave... you got most, sir! :D

thank you Tim..i like to buy nice sets from collectors..not into replating so much..they are pricey and you have to like them before spending the $$.they hold their value if you get a good price.i don't buy them from ebay..my obsession..;)

Happy Friday. Off to my office today to knock out a few tax returns and get some other odds and ends completed. The rubbed 2 good almond size dollops of cream onto my face and went to work with the Soap Destroyer. While I might not like the scent of this cream, the performance is more than satisfactory. I really enjoy a super slick lather and TOBS delivers. Three passes, touch ups and buffing caught the baby. The real star of the shave was the Fine L'Orange Noir. I had forgotten how much I enjoy this scent. I hope everyone has a great Friday. Take care and be safe.
