I have Fine L'Orange Noir, Platinum, Fresh Vetiver, Lavender and Italian Citrus. I really like them all but the first three are my favorites. Admittedly I am a vetiver junky.

Very nice combo, Danny. Thank you, and I trust things are well with you and yours also.

    Thank you, Gentlemen.
Blair, I guess I probably don't need to call it a Canadian Old Type as I don't think there is any difference in the US or Canadian models. Some of the other Gillette models do have slight differences between the Canadian and US versions, but I think this the exact same head geometry as the US Single Ring I piff'ed. I did have a thicker capped US Ball End a few years ago that I didn't find to be the same quality of shaver.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words. The shave felt really good. I use a free photo editor called Fotor.

All good here. We're stocked up, and I make a weekly supplies run. The next one is planned for early tomorrow morning at a favorite grocery store outside the city (not crowded, fairly well stocked) followed by post office and drug store stops. I just try to be smart about it and follow the recommended actions. I do better when I avoid listening to the 24/7 news updates. If I want factual information, I listen to Dr. Greg Poland from the Mayo Clinic. He provides informative and (what I consider to be) non-biased updates. You can Google him and find some of his podcasts. Highly recommend.

Clint, I've been out twice today. I think I saw Maya walking Mocha in our neighborhood. While maintaining appropriate social distancing, I asked her how she was doing. She mentioned something about getting a raise in her allowance from Mom and Dad. :) Seriously, it has been nice to get out during the day, and I find a lot of people in our neighborhood doing likewise.

We definitely not bored. We've had downtime, but we've also been using the time to get stuff done that we'd normally put off until the last minute. I've also been listening to some on-line programs from our church, various medical organizations regarding my Bride's treatment, and the John C. Maxwell Leadership team. We're probably eating better than we have in long time. Since we're not eating out, I've had only one ice cream serving in the past two weeks. We happened to find a treat hidden in the bottom of the freezer this week, and it suddenly disappeared. Just like that. :)

We stay in touch with a network of nearby friends and family, and everyone stands ready to help each other. It's a great feeling of community from that standpoint. We're definitely trying to keep our spirits high and trying to make lemonade out of the lemons. It's a tough time for families and businesses, and we try to stay ever mindful.

We've been dealt a pretty good hand compared to most, so no complaints here. :)

That is great Charlie. Swati and Maya have been staying inside the home. Our grocery resupply has been online ordering and delivery. My wife did place an order for her to pick up this evening. I think she and Maya just wanted to go for a drive.

I stocked up on Four Roses before the crisis. So my eating habits have not been what one would call healthy. For the most part, I have limited my online ordering. A new concrete shave bowl and a Broman razor (what in the world was I thinking) have been my only slip-ups thus far.

    Take care Charlie.

Thanks Jason! That's a very simple (recycled) photo that has been massaged using Fotor. :)

We had a water leak in our old house that soaked all my scrap booking backgrounds, so I pitched them. I need to restock.

I hope all is well, Jason. Stay safe and healthy, my friend.

BTW, for those of you that video conference as you WFH... In my day (get off my lawn!), I worked with a global community of introverted engineers. Workstation cameras were nearly always disabled and sometimes the lenses were covered for good measure. :)

I think Fine soaps are far and away my favourite triple milled tallow pucks right now. I've had some of the well-known classics such as Tabac and Valobra and while their performance was very good, the quality scent dupes that Fine created put it to the top of my list. I haven't tried the older AofS Tallow pucks that some speak highly of, but they're not available anyway. @Linuxguile pointed out a few years ago that the Fine soap base was based on Tabac, but they did it without the Aisle 12-certs-leather-nicorette vibe of that Classic...

I've been a 'good boy' when it comes to shave orders so far. It probably says more about the current situation that my last two online purchases have been a new basketball hoop for the back driveway for the kids and a pair of running shoes...

Thanks Clint. It sounds like you guys have a plan, and I can't wait to see your new goodies.

I know a guy that happens to have some Blanton's, Russells' Reserve, and two unopened bottles of Four Roses Single Barrel. I've...er...he's been working on my...his...Old Fashioned recipe. One a week, he tells me. Moderation. :)

My office space is too centrally located and noisy in our house to WFH properly, Charlie, so I have set up my wife's scrapbooking room as my quiet space for conferencing. If you need any backdrops or supplies, let me know, because there are approximately 1700 sheets of scrapbook paper up there. As well, if you need any buttons for your shirts, for a week and a half I've been staring at 7 decorative jars of them...;)

Great shave, Dale! I haven't tried the Red Tip, but I really like my SS Flare Tip (mild though it is). :)

thank you Tim.i am fortunate to be their current caretaker.these and the brit techs are my daily drivers and most used favorites.they are in as new original condition. i love and use all of my collection.the oc tto's,rockets, flare tips and aristocrats are favorites as well but they see less use due to rarity and to preserve condition .the majority of my collection of 60+ are british, with some outstanding u.s and canadian sets.i will be honest.i paid some prices equal or more than some modern stainless razors..

I hear that. We keep our desktops in the family and the living room, and working on a Chromebook is just plain awful. I finally woke up at around 5:30am when the rest of the household (and all other sane people) were asleep, and did some grading. I got more done in two or three hours than I have in 2 days. :happy102:
