Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #395 two-band badger
    Supply V2
    Schick Proline
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply V2 injector razor with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A shave with one of the last Injectors, a real design classic which provided it left the factory fault free, is a good Razor for those who master it. At one time I had a small collection of them, but am now down to one having sold the others on to other Shaving enthusiasts. I had no problems with todays Shave, and considering the age of the blade the quality of the finish is not too shabby.

When I first won this razor in a piff contest across the street at TOST, I figured I'd file this in a razor to be piffed drawer because of its famous SUPER MILD reputation. And I had aready piffed everything I had that was piffable...So I really needed something nice I can give to potential future SE shavers.

Well...this razor is SUPER MILD...BUT...it is also SUPER EFFICIENT! And it is also quite LOUD, as you hear it mow down the whiskers.
I'm afraid this beauty from the mid '60's will not make it into my piffable drawer...This one will be in my top tier for Mild and Efficient. Thats a combination not often found.

GEM got alot right on this highly underated razor! I DIG IT Plus I love the push button!! I can't stop playing with it..

    Thursday Evening Shave [IMG]

    Razor: Boston Safety Razor
    Blade: Gem CS Modified
    Brush: @GarnerPW horsehair
    Soap: Derby Stick
    AS: VIBR

I am doing some shaves with several razors on a swap with @BBS. Had to flip a coin to see what was up first. The Boston won. I had 3 days to deal with. I had a few hot chips attack my face at work earlier this week. So I wanted time for them to scab up a bit.

Anyhow on to the shave. It was a super close BBS 3 pass shave. To my surprise it was not harsh at all. As BBS had an aggressive shave( lots of blade feel) but finished with a BBS. He used a stainless, I much prefer CS.

At no time did I feel I was about to cut myself. Yes you can feel the blade. That is a good thing in my book. No blood even over my face wounds.

I finished with the clubman VIBR as it will let me know if I over did it. Nothing a really great shave. I will give it a second go on Saturday.

Thanks @BBS for the razors to try out. After this it is on to the Schick E1

A nice Shave with the compact Schick I1, which is a great Razor for those who wish to try a Twin Blade but are not keen on longer handles. A good end to the Injector rotation, would really like to get hold of the Black handled version.

Very mild but effective shaver. It takes 5 passes to get to a BBS but it gets there. Drama free shave with no irritation to boot.

OKAY!!! This razor is the real deal for me. I shaved yesterday and I usually go every other day. I get better shaved that way. I decided to give the Boston a crack at a one day growth.

I find this razor to be buttery smooth! It ended up being even closer than last night. Same BBS results and no, I mean no irritation showing with my Aluminum block.

It is most likely the lightest SE I have used sans the TNNSER 3D. This is a keeper for sure.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend my friends.

I like it also. It is pretty much the same shave design as the later flat top razors from the bullet tip up. It just came in the other day so I had to get a shave in with it right away.

I also love the OC Damaskeene, but thought there must be something wrong with mine as it was so mild. Before owning one, I thought it would be aggressive. Great shaves, but mild. I’m glad I’m following this thread.

Yes that is a misnomer about OC razors. Not all are aggressive. The Dammy is a sweet shave.

Moved from the light Injectors to the heavyweights of the AC/SE world. I enjoyed the Shave as one had to concentrate on adapting to the slightly different technique required when using one of these heavyweights. Perhaps not as good as it could be on the difficult RHS but spot on elsewhere. Shame there is no marking on this Razor to denote its origin.
