Saturday shave: Back in Seoul so I pulled out this big 8/8 Osiris and the PAA CK-6 formula to give another try. The soap performed again but it seems like the edge on the Osiris has fallen off, not much but I will take it the pasted strops before using it again.

I was getting ready to reward my shave this morning with the highest possible Excellent mark until............a cut got in the way. I think one thing that made a big difference for me was adding seconds to wetting my brush. Not the 5 minutes that Sire Hare tells us to do, but about 45 seconds. The brush had "ice-cream cone potential" after loading the soap.. :). It led to a wonderful shave. 2 healthy passes. Solid neck work-I'm so glad I found a way to get the neck done much better, shaving in the form of a "Y". A little less administering of the Stoylin Gentleman A.S. I think I can get way with no water dousing on my face this time. It's the most potent scent of the Stoylins I've tried so far. I get a feeling Texas On Fire might move Gentleman into second place, but I haven't yet decided on that one. Anyway, today's grade was Very Excellent. To lower the grad to that must mean it was a real nice shave. It was, minus the cut.

Very nice shave, Paul! It seems that you are really improving your shaving and lathering technique. I was always told that beard prep is the foundation for a great shave.

His shaves must be very powerful for each of us to gain a year as he proceeds with his shaving.

Thank you Joe. The lengthier soaking of the brush could make a huge difference. In past times I'd get it just BARELY wet.
