Morning everyone. I didn't get my morning HYD post in before the power went out at home. And before anyone asks, it is just a storm and it keeps going out for a second here and there but it is on most of the time. I just didn't want to trust my computer to a brief power surge.

Another busy day... I have already put in about 1.5 hours of work at school and am taking a brief break before I go back to work, school until 3 and then back at school at 5 for parent Open House.

My wife is taking one of her classes online and the classroom connection is sapping all of our bandwidth for some reason. So while she is working, the internet on all the other computers is dead slow. So I guess I am going to have to call Verizon to see if there is anything that can be done to speed things up. I might have to call Comcast to get internet through cable; however, you have to get cable as well which is a waste for us to double up on those bills when we are locked in on DirecTV until March and Verizon internet until April. If only one of my neighbors would leave their wireless access point unsecure. But for some reason for the 6 different people in our building with wireless, we are all smart enough to lock it down.

Oh and it looks like I am going to give in an get one of those Ikon razors. Wife would notice that much going out of the account at once so it is either put a little back into my PP account each paycheck or start trying to sell off excess again (but why when I will just re-hoard the same items at the increasing costs?)

well, the day started off alright...dropped wife off to work, on my way to my building I stopped at the convenience store to get some breakfast.
My order? 2 sausage biscuits, 1 container of gravy
pretty basic
drive to work, get in the office, put some water in the Hot Shot and heat it, log in to computer, put coffee in the Aeropress, go back to computer, start up Thunderbird and Firefox, go back to Aeropress and make coffee, sit down at desk, sit coffee (ahhhhhh!), no major emails thus far (ahhhhh!), open container from c-store.......
why is there 2 biscuits, plain, and 2 containers of gravy???
WTF!!!!!!
well, there went my great day.....wait, wait-wait-wait.....*sip* (ahhhhhhh!)

 

Somewhere there's a guy looking at his cup of coffee thinking "WTF!?! How hard is it to get 2 plain biscuits and 2 cups of gravy!?! If I wanted sausage, I'd have ordered sausage!"

Scraped just enough grounds out of my coffee container for an Aeropress. It is going to be a good day. Oh, on the topic of coffee, if anyone likes capachino or whatever and wants to make it with an Aeropress, they recommend a battery milk frother, and check out this deal:

I like my coffee black, but getting one for my wife. I wonder how well Baileys froths...

 

I have two battery milk frothers, one I got with a french press set, a Bodum brand, and the other I got for Christmas in one of those Wal-Mart "don't know what to get somebody? then get one of these boxes with stuff already in it" gifts that had a couple of coffee mugs and coffee flavorings.

the Bodum brand works wonderfully, the other....not so much.
just a thought...I'm not suggesting Bodum brand over any other particularly, but cheaper isn't always better
